Despite Alex's announcement and personal promise to Zeref that Ishgar would only attack Alvarez's Capital, the Empire still doesn't want the war to happen on their land.
So their solution is by attacking Ishgar first. Alex gave them a week, so they just need to go to Ishgar before that 1 week comes. Zeref agreed with the plan while still asking the Spriggan to prepare backup plans because Alex might have some tricks.
He was worried that Alex had expected them to make this move and Alex sure did. Mavis was the one brewing the plan and she was a master tactician, so she had predicted the moves Alvarez might take.
Alvarez uses many airships to transport their soldiers to Ishgar. But they won't take everyone on the airships. They plan to set up teleportation portals on Ishgar so their whole army can cross later.
But just when Zeref gives his speech as the army is preparing to go, an uninvited guest suddenly appears in the middle of their formation. Alex just appears out of nowhere, making the soldiers around him scream in surprise.
Mest was teleporting him there from far outside the Capital City. Mest has been hiding here all the time and spying on Alvarez's moves. When he found out about Alvarez's plan to attack first, he called Alex and brought him here very quickly.
Alvarez didn't expect him to be able to move this fast. Even Zeref thought he wouldn't be able to intercept them this quickly. He has just met Alex in Ishgar yesterday, yet Alex is already here now to fight them.
Zeref doesn't rule out the possibility of Alex being able to come here very fast because even he can go to Ishgar in a few seconds. But he surely never expected that Alex would dare to show up alone in the middle of enemy army.
That's why he was confident they could go to Ishgar and attack first if they are fast. They are already moving very fast. The army only took less than a day to be ready for a big scale war and Alex was actually ready for that.
"Haven't I told you? I would give you a week to prepare, but you are very impatient. If you want the war that badly, I will give it to you now." Alex grins fearlessly even though he is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of enemies.
Some of the Spriggan quickly move to the front and surround Alex while Zeref is still on stage, trying to see what Alex is planning because he knows how troublesome of an opponent Alex is.
"Seems like you don't want your Empire to get damaged. That's what we in Ishgar wanted to, yet you kept trying to attack us. It's ironic, really, how you want to damage other nations, but aren't ready to get your nation damaged, while still talking about saving the world from Acnologia while you yourselves are the ones causing destruction. Man, you washed their brains very cleanly not even a bacteria left there. You really did good making them think they could be the world's heroes just by killing millions of innocent people. But did you tell them they also need to be ready to sacrifice themselves? Because today is the day for them to do it."
Alex doesn't even talk loudly, but everyone can hear it very clearly. It's because he uses a magic tool that directs his voice to everyone in a kilometer range, so most people in the army hear him very clearly.
"We just don't want to do the battle in the city because it can destroy the buildings and kill the citizens." Zeref comes out and stands on the head of the most front airship.
"That's the exact thing that will happen when you attack Ishgar. Your attack plan this year will kill many more civilians because you are attacking a whole continent, not just a city, and you will do it without any warning like I did. The difference is just that the casualties will be our people, not your people. You only care about your people, so by that logic, we should only care about our people too, right?" Alex clearly cares more about Ishgar people than Alvarez people as someone from Ishgar and lives there.
"You're right. But can we take this war to an empty location to minimize the damage at least?" Zeref still doesn't want the war to happen in his Capital.
"Empty location, huh? Sure." Alex's answer is quite unexpected.
But Zeref and the Spriggan are satisfied with that answer because this means they can use the cards they've prepared. Those cards can cause a lot of destruction, so they don't want to use them in the Capital.
"If you just want an empty location, then I can help you make it."
Alex suddenly spreads his arms.as he unleashes his massive amount of magic power that shocks everyone, even Zeref who immediately notices that Alex has gotten even stronger now. His Rinne-Sharingan eyes are glowing and spinning rapidly.
Alex's whole body glows golden as he turns into a human-sized Asura form with 9 Tails, 6 arms, and 3 heads. His massive amount of chakra is flaring, suppressing almost everyone in the Capital City.
"This is bad!" Zeref is surprised by Alex's sudden move. He isn't the only one realizing the severity of this situation. All the Spriggan also realize that a very powerful attack is coming, and so is everyone else who can think. But it's too late to do something.
"Almighty Push!"
A very powerful pushing force spreads from Alex's body, spreading everywhere. The iconic scene during Pain assault in Konoha is recreated here. Only this time, the attack is even stronger because Alex needs to level a much wider place than Konoha village.
Buildings are destroyed, airships are thrown, people are crushed by destroyed buildings, and even the ground is destroyed. The very powerful push everything in its path, caving the earth as it destroys everything with the pushing power.
With Alex standing at the same level as the buildings, the horizontal push is also much stronger than Pain's attack. It pushes the buildings easier and because he was standing on the ground, the ground destroyed by his attack is much deeper too.
Compared to the one Pain used, this obviously consumes a lot more energy. But the power is also much greater. He's sure Six-Path Madara could do the same, but he has no way to compare it, so he just assumed.
In just a few seconds, the whole Capital City of Alvarez is destroyed. A very large crater is created and all the buildings have been destroyed. They have been turned into ruins and get pushed out of the city's border.
Surprisingly, the castle is still intact. Even its windows and doors are intact. It falls on its side because the ground beneath it is destroyed. But the building itself is still intact, even its underground floor is still attached to it.
Alex immediately knows that the Castle has been enhanced very strongly, most likely by the best enchantress, Irene. That's why it's still intact even though it falls on its side from the very powerful push, so most people inside the castle are safe.
"You should've enchanted the whole city." Alex is honestly very impressed at the castle's enchantment power.
Actually, Irene enchanted the whole Capital City and strengthened the buildings. But their enchantments were obviously weaker than the ones in the castle where she lived.
These enchantments are still strong though. Yet Alex destroys them easily, which shows just how powerful that attack is. If Irene didn't enchant the castle as best as she could, then it would have been destroyed too.
Even Irene now thinks that if Alex focuses his attack on the castle, then it would still be destroyed. She was one of the people who underestimated Alex before, but now she fully understands Zeref's worries about Alex.
Alex's Almighty Push almost destroys the whole city and it has killed so many soldiers at once because he does it right in the middle of their formation, so many of them took the attack directly.
Fortunately for a lot of them, there are some Spriggan that tried to block the attack because they stood directly around Alex. The Spriggan and many powerful officers were using defensive skills and managed to save a lot of soldiers although they couldn't protect the buildings.
Many tenacious people who could protect themselves in time also survived. Still, the survivors' eyes are shaking in fear when they look at the City's condition. They never thought someone could do this while their Emperor and Spriggan are present.
Though they also know it's because the Spriggan were caught off guard by the sudden attack. So they still believe that Alex might still not be stronger than all Spriggan together. Still, the damage is done and many of them have died, which reduces their power significantly.
Furthermore, with the city being destroyed this much, many of their weapons are also destroyed. This surely has weakened them as an army very greatly. In just a few seconds, Alex has won most of the war.
