Too much noise will only attract more Brion.
Uvogin's sweeping club strike may have quickly dealt with the remaining Brion, but it also created a significant amount of noise.
The sounds closely following from elsewhere drew everyone's attention, but very quickly, they simply chose to ignore it.
Just a wild guess, but the noise was probably from the International Permit Agencies and had nothing to do with them.
"Uvogin, too much noise attracts more enemies. Don't let it happen again."
Law retracted his gaze from the direction of the noise and looked seriously at Uvogin.
"No problem," Uvogin replied, scratching his head sheepishly under Law's stern and serious gaze. He knew he'd gotten too excited and inadvertently made such a big commotion.
Law gave a slight nod, then turned to Tonpa and asked, "Are there any more Brion within the scouting range?"
"Yes, and the number is increasing."
As Tonpa reported, he glanced at Uvogin.
Actually, the increase in numbers was likely caused by Uvogin's loud disturbance, but Tonpa didn't specifically point this out.
What's done is done, and talking too much about it is useless.
Besides, the main combatants in the team were probably the most reliable teammates in the world. Matters of direct combat could just be left to them.
"Is that so? The individual strength of Brion doesn't seem that impressive, but their numbers appear considerable."
Lost in thought, Law took advantage of the lull before the next wave of enemies to have Sheila come over and appraise the relevant information about the Brion.
Since discovering Sheila's appraisal ability was more comprehensive, Law had rarely used his own White Smoke Font's appraisal function.
Sheila summoned Ai-chan and had her begin appraising the Brion.
As usual, Ai-chan obediently acknowledged and then swallowed the fragments of the Brion into her stomach.
While waiting for the appraisal results, everyone avoided casually touching the Brion debris, gathering around to observe.
"This blood..."
Shiro crouched beside the pool of blood, looking in surprise at the fluid, well-flowing blood.
Not just the blood, but even the human bodies were 'fresh', reaching an almost unbelievable degree.
"I noticed it earlier… the bodies look like they just died. Could they be from the International Permit Agencies?" Uvogin asked curiously, directly assuming the human hosts of the Brion were corpses.
"No way."
Nobunaga, as usual, countered Uvogin.
Uvogin didn't argue back because he didn't know the truth either.
"Are we waiting here for the next batch of Brion?" Buhara asked.
"The Brion are actively seeking us out. It's better to stay put and deal with them here," Ging said.
"Oh."
Buhara nodded.
"Before the appraisal results come out, try not to touch them with your hands," Law said, looking in the direction from which the Brion would come, while also reminding his teammates who were observing the debris.
No sooner had he spoken than Shiro, whose hands were itching to touch the Brion fragments, awkwardly withdrew his hand.
Several minutes passed. Before the appraisal results were out, a new wave of Brion attacked again, numbering around a hundred, all in human host form.
This time, the one who acted was Stargie. She stepped forward, releasing Nen from her hands, white mixed with black, materializing into a stone upright harp which she cradled in her arms.
Her fingers curved like unsheathed swords, plucked the strings.
A sharp, blade-like melody burst forth. As Nen surged, countless manifestations of blades and swords appeared from the musical notes, rushing towards the oncoming Brion.
A wave of Nen Blades sufficient to fill the entire passage space pushed forward, sweeping over all the Brion.
Under everyone's astonished gaze, the second wave of Brion disintegrated into countless fragments within the melody's Nen Blades.
After dealing with the enemies, Stargie calmly put away her harp as if she had just lightly brushed dust off her hands.
"..."
Everyone stared at Stargie's back, the scene falling silent.
Stargie had always been quiet and low-key in the team, rarely taking action. Now, with a single move, she had stunned everyone.
"So ruthless."
Tonpa wiped his forehead, though there was no sweat there.
"Too violent," Biscuit, whose combat power ranked high in the team, couldn't help but exclaim in admiration.
After a while, the appraisal results came out.
Parasitic type, highly toxic, transformative.
All this information was in the appraisal results.
With this understanding, everyone's perception of the Brion's threat level rose a notch.
However, relative to the team's overall strength, the Brion's threat was still rather low. The fundamental reason was that Brion did not use Nen. The only thing worth noting was their numbers.
"It seems obtaining the Herb for All-illnesses shouldn't be difficult."
Law first glanced at the passage ahead, now covered in gore, then looked up at the top of the wall structure.
With Kuro and the floating domain, the team's mobility was high… they didn't necessarily have to travel through the maze's passages.
Therefore, Kuro, who had emerged from the emblem, transformed into a giant black panther, carrying everyone into the air, directly reaching the top floor of the walled buildings.
Upon reaching the rooftop, everyone's gaze was inevitably drawn to the patterns carved into the rooftop floor, overlooking the door on the rooftop at first glance.
"Land."
Salin instinctively said.
Even though it wasn't Law's command, Kuro still landed on the rooftop.
Once on the ground, Salin eagerly jumped down, brushing the dust off the floor with her hands to observe the crescent-shaped patterns up close.
"These are pictograms."
Salin's eyes reflected the various intricate patterns around the crescent moon.
"Pictograms..." Ging also crouched down to observe the patterns carved into the floor. He knew another term associated with pictograms was… Super Ancient.
Thinking about it carefully, it also fit the identity of the Ancient Labyrinth City.
Among the team, some were interested in the Herb for All-illnesses, while others were interested in the Labyrinth City itself.
It was like investigating history, wanting to part the heavy fog and find the truth hidden within.
"Can you decipher them?" Law asked. He was also very interested in the history of the Labyrinth City, curious about how ancient humans from so many years ago could have built such a magnificent city.
If they could decipher the script, they might find some useful information.
Having discovered the dwelling of the Slu Tribe in the underground world, Law had always believed humans could survive on the surface as well.
"No guarantee, but we can try," Salin's mind was completely captivated by the pictograms on the rooftop floor. After a pause, she remembered her actions might delay the team's objective and immediately said, "You don't have to wait for me to decipher the script. Continue searching for the Herb for All-illnesses."
Law didn't immediately reject this suggestion, and instead considering whether they should split up here.
One team stays to protect Salin while she deciphers the script, and the other continues searching for the Herb for All-illnesses.
"This place is enormous, and..." Law stomped his foot on the ground, saying with great interest, "I'm quite curious about the internal structure of these houses."
"There's a door here. Shall we go down and take a look?"
Buhara found a door on the floor leading into the interior of the building.
"No rush. We have plenty of time."
