Chapter 201 – The Arrival of Son Pham

Dante was in his greenhouse, watering his plants while waiting for the man who supposedly had insider information about his enemies in New York.

From his expression, it was clear that the drug-selling zones had encountered certain problems. To avoid a massacre everywhere they went, contacts like Son were used to connect them with certain groups who could deal with these issues in a more peaceful manner.

But recently, everything had gone to hell due to the cartels he had attacked in Mexico forming alliances with factions in Dallas who resisted the new business initiatives Dante was demanding.

This was a problem—one far too big to be handled unprepared. However, now that Son was bringing news, it was certainly welcome.

"Boss, Son is here."

"Oh, let him in," Dante said as he walked over to another crop section.

When Son entered, he looked at Dante, who seemed like a regular man of the land—hardworking and honest. Who would think he was the most powerful mob boss in the world? That made him dangerous.

"Thank you for welcoming me into your home, Dan," said Son with complete respect. His clear voice was proof that he was a man who knew exactly where he stood.

Without looking at him, Dante said, "You're the first to see my face as it is and to visit my home. Naturally, I think you understand why I'm allowing it."

"Of course…" Son knew that Dante was demonstrating his power at that very moment by letting him in without elaborate security measures.

That made SAMCRO an organization on another level—one that didn't even fear the government.

"You have a wonderful family. You left the business, but because of those jobs that benefited me, you've found yourself in some trouble." Dante stopped what he was doing and looked at Son, who lowered his head in thought.

His family was in danger. His friend Ray too. That's why he was here—hoping for help.

"Don't worry. Your family won't be touched." Dante offered these comforting words to Son, who once again replied, "That means a lot…"

"There are rumors going around that the Mexican cartels lost a large sum of money, and the coordinates to find it are in your friend Ray's hands. But of course, it's not the money I'm interested in."

After saying that, Dante walked toward a flowerbed inside the greenhouse and added, "That amount of money was made in a single day—tax-free and laundered without issue."

"Then…"

"Unlike you, Son, I'm not in this business for money. That was never my goal. I only wanted to be strong enough to protect my family—and now I've done that."

"And that's admirable."

"Of course it's admirable. But now, there are many piranhas that want to bite into what's mine." Dante pointed to a shovel and said, "Help me dig a hole."

"Yes." Son wasn't intimidated. There was no reason for Dante to harm him. Only when he saw several bodies being pulled from a truck did he understand everything.

Dante looked at the bodies and said, "There's no better fertilizer than this. God, they're more useful as garbage than they ever were alive."

Son, now drenched in sweat, asked, "Why did you call me here?"

"Let's just say I want you to keep doing that same work—but across the whole country. Stopping rats from selling bad drugs and inexperienced cooks from contaminating my victory." Dante was gaining a lot of ground, and the government liked that. Of course, they wanted a country clean of substances.

South Korea had achieved it long ago. Japan and China weren't far behind in reducing consumption. Now Dante was making it happen, so all the support from the higher-ups could be handed over.

But Dante didn't need anything from them. What he required was control in the streets—and Son could provide that.

"My family…"

Before Son could say more, Dante interrupted, "Your criminal record will be erased. You'll have immunity. A bank account that never runs dry. And military-grade security for your family."

"All that for me?"

"I want New York clean of dealers, the streets free of trashy cooks, and the clubs overdose-free." After saying that, Dante looked at a helicopter descending nearby and added, "We'll finish off our enemies. Tell the Crocodile the details."

"If my family is safe, then I'll keep doing whatever I'm ordered to." Son said firmly.

"Then that's all. You're invited to my wedding."
