"Luna?"
"I know you by now and what you wanted to do."
He grinned, "If anyone else slapped me, they would not see another day."
She gulped and knew that he was not bluffing nor playing around, "I just am tired and don't want to play games with you."
"William is the one playing games with you, not me."
"What?"
"I'm still digging something on him and trust me, Luna, it is not going to be pretty."
"Please, Ace, I'm begging you, don't do this."
"Do what?"
"Don't ruin this for us."
"How am I going to ruin this?"
"By unravelling things that you are not meant to."
"I'm helping you, Luna."
"No, you want to sabotage us."
He chuckled, "Interesting, you don't want your relationship to be built on the truth and mutual trust."
"Oh, get lost."
His hand went around her throat, and she began to hyperventilate, the last time she remembered what he had done to her.
The pain on her jaw, the bruising that reminded her.
He let go, "What are you doing?"
"Don't please." Her voice shook and tears threatened, "Please don't hurt me. I won't ever......." She took a bigger gulp of air, feeling as if she could barely breathe.
He pulled her into his arms, and she resisted, "Let me go."
"No, you seem as if you are going to faint."
"Let go of her."
They both turned to William, and she sighed in relie,f and Ace's hands had loosened around her.
She pushed out of his arms and dashed towards William. She practically fell into his arm,s and he wiped her tears.
"What was he doing to you?" He said through gritted teeth.
"Don',t William, you will get into serious trouble."
"I don't fucken care anymore, he has to know that you are mine." He said it loud enough for Ace to hea,r but he did not seem to care.
"Then do something about it."
Luna was afraid that William was going to fight and lose against Ace. Yet his next move surprised her.
He pulled her in for a very passionate kiss, and he was not stopping anytime soon. Her eyes were wide open, and she could see that Ace looked enraged.
He seemed to be ready to lunge at him, and Luna pulled back, but could see that William was satisfied.
"You think you are the only one who has kissed her?"
Luna froze at Ace's words.
"You what?" William replied.
"It's a long story," Luna added.
"Leave her alone, she doesn't want you."
Ace tilted his head, "Luna is mine and she knows it."
"No, I don't, Ace. Stop sowing discord and lies."
"I can make him disappear right now."
She froze at his words,
"Please don't."
"Don't beg him, Luna."
"William, let's not provoke him."
"Fine."
He took her hand, and they walked away. She was stiff, hoping that Ace would not cause them harm.
When they drove off, she felt relieve,d but when Luna looked at William, he was focused on the road intently.
He held the steering wheel tightly, and his jaw clenched. She didn't know where to star,t and Luna felt very drained.
Better to talk to him tomorrow, when they both will be in a better mood. How she wanted to get rid of Ace.
Darn her bad luck.
They got to her place,
"Want to come inside?"
William shook his head, "I'm tired, I need a break."
"I get it."
She kissed his cheek, "I will see you tomorrow."
He nodded, and he waited until she had entered her apartment.
Luna startled awake and found Ace sitting there, and she wanted to cry.
