[The police officer continued immediately after checking the gun] "Oh, I see. This gun has been registered. Who owns this gun, Mrs. Maya?"
[Grandma Maya sighs] "That was for my late husband, and I don't used it. That's why it still looks new and clean. Like I said earlier, I wasn't expecting anybody home and how crazy the knocking was coming. I thought that was the bad gang coming to me..."
"That's alright and lucky you with you. Like I said, it has been registered by your late husband, so there's no problem with that, but you should be careful with it, Mrs. Maya...." [The police officer sighs]
"Uh, that's exactly what he told me the day I saw it on him. He said it had been registered with no harm, but I became angry with him because I didn't know why he had a gun in the house..." [Grandma Maya continued and responded to the police officers]
[Both police officers giggled] "That's alright, Mrs. Maya..."
The police officer continued and said, "Hey, come on and no panic, Mrs. Maya. But you should stay off killing, alright?"
[Grandma Maya sighs] "Okay, but you know, the last time my husband showed me this gun. He told me anytime I need it, I mean, to use this gun to attack my enemies. I shouldn't forget to go for the legs. Taking one leg, even both legs, doesn't kill easily. And when it feels difficult, I shouldn't forget trying to go for the right eye...."
[The police officers giggled about how funny Grandma Maya sounded.]
[The police officer continued immediately Grandma Maya finished talking] "Wow, your husband was a wonderful man. It is like he never wanted you to spend some time in the jail cells..."
"Hmm, yeah, he was a good man, but going for the right eye was a big mistake and I never put in my head. But it makes me smile a lot anytime it comes to my head. I really miss him so much..." [Grandma Maya sighs and giggles]
"Okay, so, shall we get to the reason why we came here now, Mrs. Maya?" [The police officer continued to Grandma Maya]
"Yes, of course, Mr. Cop. How may I help you and I hope there's no problem this time, right?" [Grandma Maya sighs]
"Yeah, and before we start with the few questions, we had for you. We need to confirm about Hamz first. We all know you're his grandmother, but we need to ask because that's where our question starts...." [The police officer continued immediately Grandma Maya finished talking]
"Yeah, and who doesn't know Homie G, the gangster is my grandson. Hey, is there any problem? Because I know my grandson as a gangster but with no harm...." [Grandma Maya continued and responded to the police officers]
[The police officers were confused and shocked about Grandma Maya, saying she knows Hamz [Homie G] as a gangster but with no harm. The only question they had in their heads was how could Hamz be a gangster but with no harm on the street.]
"Oh, I see. A gangster with no harm? How complicated it is, Mrs. Maya. How many tattoos does Hamz have on his body?" [The police officer continued immediately to Grandma Maya]
"That's countless and unnecessary questions. And I think those tattoos don't explain his real life on the street. That's how people think about my little boy, but he's different from street life. Your next question, Mr. Cops...." [Grandma Maya sighs and asks the police officers to ask their next question]
The police officer cleared his throat and brought out some papers and said, "This name, Hamz, who is well known as Homie G, was mentioned last night about an involvement in criminal activities, and it also says Homie G is part of a druggist system in this city. That's why we're here..."
"That's perfect, Mr. Cops. Hamz is a pretty name in this world. And also, when you come to the Black nigger's street. Homie means a brother to a black person. We've all got a brother to be named Homie. Don't you think you're at the wrong location? I mean, my house?" [Grandma Maya continues immediately and responds to the police officers, and she keeps defending Homie G and nobody knows why she was doing that, but she really knows how bad her grandson misbehaving on the black nigger's street in the Western City.]
[The police officers became speechless and didn't know what to say next. Immediately, Grandma Maya finished talking and just looking at each other's faces in the living room.]
Grandma Maya continued immediately and said, "Hey, see. The thing is, I am not trying to defend or protect my grandson's blameworthy, as you called it. But I really know him, and I will never hide it whenever he does wrong. Seriously, I have no problem. I mean, if you could wait for him and ask him all the unnecessary questions you cops want. Can I go back to the kitchen now?"
The police officer continued and held Grandma Maya back and said, "Um, one last more question, then we are good to go now...."
"What's next, before I destroy my kitchen..." [Grandma Maya sighed and had her seat]
"Okay, and this is our last question, Mrs. Maya. Um, what time did Hamz leave home and what time did he return home last night?" [The police officer continued immediately to Grandma Maya]
[Grandma Maya sighs] "Hamz is the type of kid who really loves having fun with friends all day and night because grandma have no time to play with him since childhood. I mean, ever since he came to me in the Western City...."
"So, definitely his time leaving home will be early enough and returning home will also be late. Sometimes he used to sleep after me when he didn't remember any friends and sometimes, I also used to sleep after him when he remembered those friends he played with. And I will say, Hamz is not a little kid, so I don't own his life on the street..." [Grandma Maya sighs]
[The police officers sighed and didn't know what to say to Grandma Maya again, but to stop asking her the questions and leave her house.]
