As Steve looked toward Voldemort and his group of five, they noticed him as well.
"What the hell is that? I know Hogwarts has ghosts, but since when did it have… skeletons?" Bellatrix frowned and glanced at Snape in confusion.
"Perhaps another construct made by the Alchemy professor," Snape said. The moment he saw Steve appear, he cast a concealment spell to blur his face.
"Just an obstacle. Get rid of it," Voldemort said with a casual wave of his hand.
"As you wish." One of the Death Eaters quickly stepped forward, clearly trying to make an impression. A Killing Curse shot toward Steve. Everyone expected him to die like any other nobody, but then—
Clang!
A gleaming rapier flashed from its sheath, and the Killing Curse was blocked by indestructible Netherite without leaving even a scratch.
"M-Master?" The Death Eater turned back in confusion, hoping Voldemort wouldn't be angry. Unfortunately, before he could even make out Voldemort's expression, he felt something cold pierce into his body, and his consciousness plunged into darkness.
In everyone else's eyes, Steve's Netherite sword had pierced straight through his chest. With a light upward slash, his body was cut into… X.
With a thud, he collapsed onto the cold floor of the Great Hall.
At that moment, Voldemort felt as if Steve had an absurdly long health bar above his head. He was the boss of Hogwarts, while Voldemort and his remaining three subordinates were the heroes entering a dungeon to challenge a dragon…
It was a bizarre feeling…
As if he were actually the righteous side. After all, even if he didn't have a nose, at least he still had flesh… unlike the opponent.
It was absurd enough.
On the other side, after Steve instantly killed one of them with his sword, he turned his attention to the remaining four.
As Kasenhis's skeleton construct, he naturally possessed all of Kasenhis's memories, so he was familiar with all four of them.
The noseless, socket-headed one. That was definitely Voldemort.
Then the Lestrange couple. He'd already seen how insane they were back in Azkaban.
And the last one… even though his face couldn't be seen…
Did he really think no one would notice that in all of Hogwarts, even the entire wizarding world, he was the only one still wearing that century-old bat-style wizard robe?
That had to be Severus.
Now that the enemies were right in front of him, there was no way he'd let them escape.
Before Voldemort's Killing Curse could even leave the tip of his wand, Steve suddenly lunged forward, thrusting his sword straight toward Voldemort's chest.
Voldemort didn't dodge or evade. Ever since that damned alchemy professor Kasenhis started stirring things up across the wizarding world like a catfish, pushing its "version updates" faster than inflation…
Naturally, he had to upgrade himself as well. Otherwise, the first time he met Kasenhis, he would've been scrapped on the spot by those damned mechanical arms. The only reason he hadn't been was thanks to the flesh magic he had infused into his body during his resurrection.
It made him truly a man without weaknesses. Mere physical attacks? Heh.
As the Netherite sword pierced into Voldemort's chest, Steve caught sight of the Killing Curse energy gathering at the tip of Voldemort's wand.
Seeing this, Steve reacted instantly and slammed his head straight into Voldemort's forehead.
One had a steel-coated surface, the other a malnourished human skull. Who would come out on top was obvious.
Even with the boost from flesh magic, pain was still pain.
As Voldemort bared his teeth in agony, the Killing Curse at his wand tip dissipated instantly.
But the others' Killing Curses didn't hesitate. The Lestrange couple's spells, along with Snape's, which he had deliberately angled slightly off when he noticed no one was watching him, were already dangerously close.
Clang, clang, clang—three perfect deflections rang out, accompanied by Voldemort's pained howl, because at this point, half of him was already gone…
"You're all going to die here! If I don't pull it off, I'll tear off my own head and let the Gryffindor students kick it around like a ball for a whole day!" Steve spun his sword and stepped back, then hurled it straight at Rodolphus Lestrange, instantly piercing through his heart.
"Now there are only three of you left," Steve said.
"You killed him! You killed my husband!" Bellatrix roared, unleashing a wave of Fiendfyre that surged toward Steve.
"Not just him. All of you will die by my sword, especially you, Voldemort," Steve said as he dodged and weaved. If his Netherite sword were still in his hand, breaking through that wave of fire would have been easy.
But unfortunately… he had just thrown it away.
At the moment Steve was scrambling to evade, his eyes suddenly met Snape's. In that instant, the two locked gazes.
Steve reacted immediately. He raised a hand and shouted, "Sword, come!"
On the other side, Snape was deeply disdainful of Steve's refusal to miss any chance to show off, but he still refrained from using even the slightest bit of magic that Voldemort might detect. Instead, he used only the most basic wizarding telekinesis to send the sword back into Steve's hand.
With the sword back in hand, Steve once again broke through Bellatrix's Fiendfyre and thrust straight toward her.
But Voldemort, hiding behind Bellatrix, had already created a composite spell in an extremely short time.
As a red and a blue beam respectively struck Bellatrix and Steve's sword, the two instantly became like magnets within the same field, always maintaining a constantly shifting distance, sometimes close, sometimes far.
Whenever Steve's sword neared Bellatrix, she would inevitably be pushed back as if repelled by the same magnetic field. Meanwhile, Bellatrix's spells continued to bombard Steve without interruption, even though they were all deflected…
