In the darkness, there stands a woman with striking red hair, soaked and heavy against her back.
Rain pours from the sky, which washes rivers of blood through her boots.
Around her lay piles of dead bodies, among them men, women, and children. She spared none in her path. Not a single person remained untouched by her blade, which was now dull from fighting.
The area around her was silent as her nose filled with the smell of iron and smoke. Her hands tremble as she tightens her grip on her sword.
She sighed and looked to the sky, rain falling down her face and body.
"This wasn't the path I wanted."
A voice answers her.
"Then what did you want? What was the point of all this?"
She drops her sword and falls to the ground, her body lifeless as she breathes heavily.
"I don't know. But she will be able to achieve it."
....
"The path I couldn't take. She...my..."
Her breathing stops, and her voice trails off.
Everything goes dark.
