The night at Illusion Moon Lake is immersed in the water.
The crescent moon has just climbed the peak of Moon Mountain, and the lake water has become a spread of ebony mirror, wrinkling the mountain's reflection.
The flying eaves of Mirror Abyss Pavilion dip into the lake surface, candlelight leaking from the carved window lattice plummets into the water, breaking into specks of golden scales, swaying to the Moon Viewing Tower where the vermilion corridor columns sink three feet beneath the water, and the glaze lamps hanging underneath reflect the lake water in a shade of cyan blue, as if someone has submerged the crushed night sky deep into the lake.
