Outside the interrogation room of the security office, Evan Palmer sat there.
His once crisp suit was now wrinkled, the collar stained with some unknown substance, his hair messily sticking to his forehead, with dark circles under his eyes, and a layer of stubble appearing. The usual spiritedness was completely gone, leaving only a sense of defeat.
Evan Palmer had been detained for several days, with every minute and second feeling like torture, every day dragging on like a year.
Seeing Adam Willow enter, Evan Palmer immediately pushed himself up from the chair, grabbed his arm, and pleaded desperately, "Adam, only you can save me! You must find a way!"
Adam Willow shook off his hand with a frown, speaking with a hint of frustration mixed with disappointment: "Dad, how could you be so muddle-headed! You've held it in for so many years, why lose your composure now and fall into someone's trap?"
