The Heavenly Prison was damp and cold; Xin Lin bid farewell to Captain Yang and entered the prison.
Inside the cell, a rotten stench assaulted her senses.
Shi Fei was held in the women's prison cell.
She still wore the consort robe, its blood stains shocking to behold.
When Xin Lin arrived, she was curled up in the corner, motionless; even as Xin Lin entered, she had no reaction.
"Lady Shifei..."
Xin Lin called softly.
Shi Fei did not respond.
"Don't bother, she's been here for half a day without saying a word, not drinking water or eating. Looks like she won't last more than two or three days. She refuses to change clothes; get close, and she bites like she's gone mad."
The female prison guard said irritably.
