Tyler Howard nodded after picking up the phone and then hung up.
Howard hung up the phone and stared at it, dazed.
A colleague nearby saw Howard staring blankly and came over to ask, "What's up with you? Just staring there after calling the director, did something good happen? Are you getting a reward?"
"No, what's so good about it? We do this stuff all the time, right? Finding people, screening for suitable candidates, then recruiting them."
"It's just regular work, how could there be any reward? I just suddenly feel something is odd."
"Chloe Simpson, she's really strange. Previously, Young Master Johnson always protected her, and now the director is protecting her. And the director protecting her is even stranger."
"The person Young Master Johnson doesn't like is being protected by the director. Isn't that just asking for trouble? And today's phone call, it's even stranger. The director was eager to have Chloe Simpson work at the hospital."
