Chapter 534 - Chapter 534: Returning to Campus

After getting married, life for Ichin and Utaha didn't really change. Once they'd rested, they simply returned to their normal routine—university life and their respective work.

However, when they arrived at campus, the matching rings on their fingers immediately drew curiosity from students who knew them.

After asking around, everyone discovered—wait, these two already registered their marriage not long ago?!

The news instantly spread across campus. From professors to students, soon everyone knew.

Even in Japan, couples getting married during university were extremely rare. On top of that, both Ichin and Utaha had already achieved notable success in their own fields and were extremely accomplished. Their relationship was also wonderfully stable… naturally, this made countless people envious.

After finishing his morning classes, Ichin headed to the cafeteria first. He waited at the entrance for five minutes before spotting Utaha and Yukino arriving together.

After ordering lunch and sitting down, Utaha remarked, "Compared to before, we really got a lot more attention today."

Ichin nodded. "Can't be helped. Most people at campus know about it now."

Yukino sipped her miso soup and softly added, "Even the students in my class who only care about studying and never follow gossip have heard about it. I think in another day or two, the news will spread outside the campus."

Though one was a game developer and the other a novelist, Ichin's games sold extraordinarily well. Aside from _Persona_, both _Dark Souls_ and _Apex_ frequently went viral online. Even people who didn't play games had probably heard his name at least once.

As for Utaha—her novels already had a large readership, and her genre wasn't isekai but modern urban stories. On top of that, she was now the scriptwriter for a TV drama airing in April. Her popularity was by no means small.

Once the public learned that these two had married, it would definitely stir up some buzz.

Ichin shrugged. "It's fine. After what happened before with Utaha's identity being exposed, it's not like it'll cause another huge uproar. We'll just live our lives in peace."

He was right. They didn't need to worry about their daily life being disrupted.

No matter what, they weren't celebrities in the entertainment industry. The level of gossip or hype that could be generated about them was limited. And if any paparazzi tried to stir up trouble, they'd probably have to consider whether they could even keep their jobs afterward.

Soon, the three finished their lunch and rested in the cafeteria for a while.

Utaha asked, "Ichin, you have three classes this afternoon, right?"

"Yeah. I remember you and Yukino each only have one?"

Both nodded in unison, and Utaha continued, "How about this—after Yukino and I finish our first class, we'll come over and sit in on one of yours? After your second class ends, we were thinking of going shopping. For dinner, we'll find a place and you can come meet us directly."

"That's fine, but won't you two be bored sitting in my class? You might as well go to the library to read."

Utaha smiled. "I just feel like keeping you company—is that not allowed?"

Yukino also added, "Reading can be done anywhere. I'll have my headphones anyway. Besides… it's February 12th. I feel like trouble is about to begin again."

Ah! Ichin immediately understood and stopped objecting.

After finishing his first afternoon class and arriving at the next lecture room, Ichin saw Utaha and Yukino had already arrived ahead of him. Under the eyes of his classmates, he walked over.

Sitting down between them, Ichin glanced at the light novel in Utaha's hand and raised his brows. "_Explosive Flame Dark Elf_? Wow, Utaha, when did you start reading this?"

This light novel was the debut work of light-novel author Yamada Elf, who debuted early last year.

The moment Ichin saw the author's name, he immediately remembered—the blonde gothic-lolita girl author from _Eromanga Sensei_.

After all, both Gokou Ruri and Kousaka Kirino now worked at his company. Adding a Yamada Elf into the mix was practically expected at this point.

He had looked up a bit about her back when he learned such a person existed, but didn't pay much attention afterward—he had too much work.

Same for Utaha. Aside from her own novels, she was working on the TV drama screenplay. Last year, she barely had time to read any additional light novels.

But now that her scriptwriting job was finished and her own novel series was nearing completion, she finally had some free time and naturally started reading more works.

Flipping a page, Utaha smiled. "Yesterday while shopping, I saw it at the bookstore. It seemed quite popular, so I bought it to try. After reading it, the writing is fine, and the author clearly understands what readers want—using cute girls as the hook while adding occasional nicely done scenes. The story as a whole is still a bit thin, but as a debut work it's definitely qualified. It should adapt into an anime just fine.

"I've already written two modern-urban novels, so I want to expand my range a bit. Reading other types of stories is normal. It's just a pity she's not an author under Fujikawa Shoten, otherwise I'd really like to chat with her."

Utaha had already asked Machida Sonoko about Yamada Elf that morning. Unexpectedly, the author was… a fourteen-year-old girl.

Utaha originally assumed the author of a harem-romance-plus-ecchi novel would be some deadbeat otaku guy, but instead the writer was a pretty fourteen-year-old girl—according to Machida Sonoko, a very cute one.

That made Utaha even more interested in meeting her.

Hearing this, Yukino turned her head to look as well.

"Is it good?" she asked.

"Hehehe, not bad." Utaha said as she reached into her bag, took out volume one of _Explosive Flame Dark Elf_, and handed it to Yukino. "Read it during class. Change the flavor a bit—you read too many textbooks."

Yukino accepted it, glanced at the cute girl on the cover, thought for three seconds… and actually started reading.

"???"

Ichin stared in confusion, leaned toward Utaha, and whispered, "Is this book really okay for Yukino? There's… quite a lot of _that_ kind of content."

Utaha rolled her eyes. "It's fine. We're not children anymore. A little bit is nothing."
