Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Forgotten Devil

Deep in the nether realm, Maria, Kairi and Selena arrived at the capital city in the nether called Kigen, home to the Nether King and his four pillars. A massive gate started to open; Maria felt something sinister coming from the castle. It was like evil was lurking inside the capital. The gate opened. Maria, Kairi and Selena walked through the gate and into the castle. One of the guards ran into Maria and said, "Lord Maria and Selena, you are needed in the meeting room." The guard swiftly ran off before they started heading into the meeting room. When entering the room a man with pure white eyes walked past Kairi, just by walking past her she felt a overwhelming amount of mana coming from him she started to sweat while saying to herself "these people are way to powerful they all have a overwhelming amount of mana". Maria and selena took a Seat at the table while Kairi stands behind them, the room was pure s silent until all they can hear is foot steps coming towards them. The final chair was pulled out while a man with a metal mask and long black hair took a seat. Maria and Selena said loudly, "King Watanabe, we hope you're in good health, your highness." He slightly raised his hand before taking a seat. He spoke in a calm tone, "2 rifts have opened up into our realm, one from the Underworld and the other from the human realm." As Maria sat there unfazed, Selena spoke up, "Is Nezha getting ready to invade?" Watanabe shaked his head before taking a deep breath "nezha will come for us but this doesn't seem like him. I went to check the rifts out personally I felt a unknown magic i have never felt before. It was like a blackness slowly eating away at the space between the realms". While they continue to talk Kairi was in deep through as the description of the magic could only be one person, a image of shiki flashed through her mind but then Watanabe eyes was directly locked towards kiari he slowly stood up and while walking towards her he said " This one carries Belphegor Sin within her and she failed to return once the rift to the nether realm was reopened. During your time in the human realm you must of met some powerful people tell who is it that is coming for us". Kairi stood there in silence before trying to run towards the door, but before she could even move an inch. Watanabe grabbed her by the neck and slammed her through the meeting room table; he laughed slightly before saying, "Send her to the red chamber." Guards came in and dragged Kairi away. Watanabe opened a passage by pressing a button behind his chair while walking into the pure darkness he said "Selena and Maria i feel like there is a unknown force in our realm use whatever you need to bring them before me" the passage closed after leaving Maria and selena in pure silence. Selena looked at Maria and said "what do you think the blind one was tasked with"? Maria shrugged her shoulders before standing up and leaving the room before leaving she said "i will search by the first rift you take the other one", Selena sigh before nodding slightly. Meanwhile kiari woke up in a room covered in darkness, she tried to stand but she noticed that her hands was changed together with a black chain. Kairi tried to use her magic, but it failed; the chains completely shut off her magic power. Once Kairi accepted that she wasn't going to break out, she said, "The red chamber is a room that completely shuts down a person's mind. First, the lack of food and water. Second, they shut off your oxygen by filling the air with a thick toxic, and finally, the room is full of mirrors; the only thing that you get to see is yourself slowly dying." She let out a massive sigh before a red crack in space started to open in front of her. Suddenly a hand came out of the red crack and dragged Kairi into it, breaking the chains that were binding her. Kairi looked around and noticed she was in an unknown area. The sky red and the grass beneath her feet was also red, Suddenly a Kairi could hear a distorted voice coming from the distance it said "finally you have arrived". Kairi turned around, her eyes widened, and she started sweating rapidly. A person that looks identical to Nova appeared in front of them. Kairi said in a worrying tone, "Nova is that." The figure pushed Kiari to the ground and said, "It's a shame that you don't remember me, Kiari. I'm Seilah." Kairi started to shake as she remembered. Kairi was dumbfounded, but before she could say anything. Seilah wrapped a white ribbon around her neck and pulled on it; red horns came out of her forehead, and she said, "You must have a lot of questions for me, but I will not answer them all. All that you need to know is that I have merged with Lucifer and the sin of pride. Now all I need is a vessel that I can possess." Seilah smiled at Kairi as red smoke started to engulf them.
