Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Birth of Chaos

Meanwhile, Back at Kigen Maria was sitting in her office with a gigantic map of the nether realm covering her table. The map was marked with red circles on it; these locations are reported disturbances within the realm. Maria opened one of the desk drawers and grabbed a blue and purple cycle; she placed one by the bamboo woods and the other by the Nether Forge. Maria said to herself, "This realm is falling into chaos." Suddenly a corpse hit Maria's window; as she looked outside, multiple corpses started falling from the sky. Maria clenched her fist as a massive amount of aura started covering the surrounding area. Maria took a deep breath as her aura started to fade. On her way back into the office, Selena walked up to Maria and said, "I heard from the soldiers that you have something." Maria led Selena into her office and showed her the map. Maria pointed to the cycles on the map and said, "These are the locations which all major disturbances are coming from." Selena stood there in silence while looking at Maria. She grabbed the purple cycle and said, "I will take a squad down to the Nether Forge; I will leave the other one to you." Maria nodded in response shortly after Selena left the room. Maria grabbed her prosthetic arm and removed it along with her cloak and armour. She stepped into the shower, and Maria closed her eyes as she let the water cover her whole body. Maria's body was covered with scars and old wounds; multiple images flashed through her mind as she remembered when she first came into existence. Back then the Nether Realm was nothing but a wasteland; everyone had to fight to survive, but Maria was different because of her dragon blood – she was stronger than the rest. Maria ended up turning everyone insane; her chaos spread throughout the realm, making every living thing consumed by their own madness. She forced innocent people to murder each other for her own entertainment, and at the end of it, Maria would consume them so no one could overrule her until. One day a long red-haired man challenged her to a battle. This man was Fury, one of the first beings of creation, and he also was another dragon. Their battle went onwards for days. This was the first time Maria was pushed to the brink of death, but so was Fury. They were a perfect match for each other. He said, "You're great, kid. Pushing me this far is incredible. I will not forget this." Maria was shocked by this man's kindness until a block speared her arm. As she turned around, a man with black horns and purple hair slammed her to the ground; it was Nezha. Fury said, "You really did have to do that." Nezha had a serious look in his eyes and said, "It's time, Fury." He let out a massive sigh before he transformed into a giant red dragon. His whole body covered the realm, then Nezha grabbed onto his dragon scales and used a dark matter spell called 'everlasting dragon seal' that turned Fury to stone and blocked any entry to the nether realm. Before the realm was sealed, Nezha flew back to the Underworld. Maria looked up in shock as the only person who could fight her was gone, but then she started laughing hysterically and saying, "Fury, you may be gone, but there must be more of us out there. I will continue fighting until I have found someone stronger than you." The images stopped flashing through her mind as she turned off the shower and started putting her clothes on. She used her dragon scales to hide her scars and wounds. Maria looked outside, noticed the beautiful night sky and called one of the soldiers into her room. She said, "Prepare the squadron; we leave at once." A few hours had passed, and they arrived at the bamboo forest. Maria, with her greatsword in hand, said, "This place feels freezing." Suddenly, multiple of her soldiers started flying towards her. As she dashed, in her path, she was blocked by a gigantic ice wall. She saw a woman with dragon horns and blonde hair; this person was Nova. As she quietly walked away, Maria set up camp and said, "Rest up because soon we slay a dragon." On her way back to the others, Nova felt a familiar presence come from Maria. As images started flashing through her mind, Nova fell to her knees and said, "I remember you now, Kairi." As she regained her strength, Nova headed back to the others.
