The Sun King saw the rapid weakening of his soldiers and became furious. His two large eyes widened in anger when the World Spirit told him that every Vulcan on the battlefield had become sick.
He had been glaring at the battlefield and scrutinizing the enemy as if he wanted to vaporize them with his gaze. So he noticed the army he created was weakening and falling apart. He just didn't know why that was the case.
It wasn't until the world spirit told him of the illness that he realized that his people were being sabotaged by the enemy. He immediately attributed the source of the illness to the foreigners because there was no way a previously unknown disease would suddenly appear and weaken his people just as they were about to push back one of the limbs of the invading world spirit.
