For a moment, Alden couldn't understand how that was even possible. From everything Aemirya had told him until now, there were only three major races that mattered enough to be mentioned.
Humans in the north, Dragons in the east and Demons in the south. She hadn't said anything about Beastmen.
Hell, according to the books from the future Alden came from, things were supposed to be completely different.
The Demons were the ones who invaded the world and it was only alongside that invasion that races like beastmen, elves and dwarves began appearing in recorded history.
At least, that was what the books claimed.
But the more time Alden spent in this era, the more those books started feeling less like history and more like someone had taken a bunch of half-truths, mixed them together, and written whatever remained.
The Demons, who were supposed to become the great enemies of mankind, were apparently peaceful right now.
