Iker felt like he was between a rock and a wall. He wanted to say everything that was on his mind, yet at the same time, his reasoning was telling him not to let his emotions cause him serious problems.
"Iker, you can tell me anything. I give you my word and promise on my title as a knight that I will never tell anyone what you tell me, including Ian or his majesty," Easton said.
He could not leave Iker like this. The boy had been through far too much. He always managed to continue smiling through the pain, but Easton knew it was not easy. It was difficult having a mother present but she was not loving, neither did she care.
Now, Easton knew that in the past, he had allowed Iker to suffer quite a lot because he never wanted to offend Ian, but now that they were all adults, it occurred to him that everyone deserved to have their voice heard and to be understood.
Iker turned to him, he took a deep breath and said, "You really promise?".
