Elia walked aimlessly as she thought back at what Lena had suggested: "Stay close to the Donovans?" It sounded ridiculous to even say it out loud. Her initial goal was to stay in the Crimsonmoon pack, complete her obligations, and get the hell out of there in six months. That was what she had had in her mind till now, but Lena's warning about Donovan losing control and marking her sent her brain into a frenzy. Her brain kept on coming up with worst-case scenarios.
She couldn't help but wonder. What did she even know about shifters and their mate bond? Heck, even the Donovans didn't seem to know about it that well. According to Alyn, the shifters didn't have wolves recognizing their true mate for a millennium until Elia happened.
