"Honkai… God…?"
Ometeotl's expression turned ugly in an instant. Could it have made a mistake?
The Honkai God—the Cocoon of Finality. It was quite famous in the divine hierarchy. After all, not every god was like the Cocoon of Finality, a ruthless god even more ruthless than the ruthless…
Because the Cocoon of Finality dared to go and gnaw on the Imaginary Tree…
And not only did it gnaw, but it also succeeded, directly occupying the very tip of the Imaginary Tree and becoming a part of the world's rules.
Ometeotl had no idea what the Great Will of the Imaginary Tree was thinking, but that was not something it could control.
After the news of the Cocoon of Finality's feat spread, some gods in the Sea of Quanta also started to suck up to the Great Will of the Sea of Quanta.
At that time, Ometeotl was slumbering and missed that wave, but because of that, it was still alive…
The Great Will of the Imaginary Tree had a personality like a tree itself. No matter how the wind blew or the rain fell, no matter what the world said, it just stood there, silently bearing everything.
But the Great Will of the Sea of Quanta was different. It was a being with almost no divinity, its moods shifting unpredictably…
It might elevate you to godhood just because it takes a liking to you, making you a being beneath the Sea of Trees but above all else.
Or it might suddenly get into a bad mood, tear off a few branches from the Imaginary Tree, and childishly bicker with it.
With the Imaginary Tree, as long as a seeker was worthy, the tree would grant them what they sought.
But as for the Sea of Quanta… Ometeotl never saw those shameless gods who went to lick the boots of the Sea of Quanta's Great Will ever again.
But no matter how easygoing, generous, and merciful the Imaginary Tree was, as a being that could occupy it, even just its tip, the Cocoon of Finality was by no means a simple entity…
Ometeotl shifted its form, returning to its original incarnation of dark, void-like chaos and primordial, creative light, and watched the Cocoon of Finality with utmost vigilance.
"Honkai God, you have already become a part of the Imaginary Tree, one of the rules of the world. The Honkai energy you control spreads to every branch and leaf of the Imaginary Tree, seeping into countless worlds, becoming one of the tree's nutritional filtering mechanisms.
Why! Why have you come to the Sea of Quanta! Why did the Great Will permit your arrival!"
Faced with Ometeotl's furious questioning, the Cocoon of Finality didn't even spare it a glance.
As long as one could not transcend the system of the Tree and the Sea, everything beneath them was an ant, and that included gods.
In terms of status and essence, the Cocoon of Finality had already opened up a wide gap between itself and gods like them.
Think about it, has the Tree ever said anything to the seekers?
The Cocoon of Finality was the same. Apart from necessary information, the Cocoon was too lazy, and too disdainful, to speak.
It hated the Sea of Quanta, not only because it was from the Imaginary side, but also because many of the screening tests it had previously conducted in the solar system were sabotaged by the denizens of the Sea of Quanta like rabid dogs.
"You. Hurt. Her. I. Hurt. You."
The Cocoon of Finality's voice echoed throughout the Bubble Universe, resounding in the heart of every living being.
"Ridiculous. You are merely a projection right now. If your main body were here in person, I might fear you."
Ometeotl transformed to match the Cocoon of Finality's celestial size, looking at it with a hint of disdain.
"Your sheer mass has far exceeded the bounds of reason. The slightest movement would cause immeasurable damage to the laws of the world.
You can only remain attached to the Imaginary Tree, splitting off a part of yourself to stay in the galaxy you created.
In your current state, what makes you think you can stand against me, who can move freely!"
"On the fact that you couldn't even successfully lick the Sea's boots, while I am already a part of the Tree."
It was precisely because there were too many beings like Ometeotl that the Cocoon of Finality communicated with others less and less.
An ant climbs to the peak of a mountain and looks down, seeing the rivers and land as small as grains of sand beneath its feet, and thinks it stands at the apex of the world, the most powerful and noble being under the sun and moon.
Little does it know, an ant is still an ant. It cannot escape the confines of the planet, let alone comprehend the vaster universe beyond the sky, and the even larger cosmos beyond that.
Different levels of existence come with different perspectives and thoughts. The Cocoon of Finality couldn't be bothered to explain or say more to Ometeotl. It just wanted to take Kiana away and vent some of her anger.
"I acknowledge your status as a creator god, but for you, there is no need to awaken my main body."
A faint light gleamed in the Cocoon of Finality's eye. Immediately, a purple beam of light filled with destructive aura shot out from the distant solar system. It pierced through countless dimensions and spaces, crossed billions of light-years, and in an instant, arrived before Ometeotl.
"This is impossible! You're clearly just a projection!!" Ometeotl stared in terror at the beam of light that had locked onto it, fired by the Cocoon of Finality from the sky.
"I am a projection, that is correct. But why would you assume that the versions of me you have witnessed and understood were not also projections?"
Before the beam reached the Bubble Universe, the Cocoon of Finality pulled Kiana and Sirin into Imaginary Space. It then cast a few more glances at Dark Seele in the world folded with the physical space and Seele, who had been teleported to a distant place by Kiana.
The Cocoon of Finality had originally intended to take the Seeles with them, but it paused and ultimately decided against it.
The Cocoon of Finality bestowed some blessings upon the two Seeles as well, then prepared to leave this vanishing Bubble Universe with Kiana and Sirin.
The light of Finality tore open the space of the Sea of Quanta, stirring up enormous waves on its calm surface.
The light passed through tens of thousands of Bubble Universes, destroying countless worlds, before finally striking Ometeotl directly.
"To serve a lord is like living with a tiger…" Ometeotl stood its ground with a bitter smile, watching the light of Finality rapidly approaching from beyond the heavens.
There was no point in running. If its escape caused the Cocoon of Finality's attack to destroy even more Bubble Universes, it would likely be killed by the Sea's Great Will even if the Cocoon didn't finish it off.
Wait, I almost forgot… the most important thing.
Ometeotl quickly split off its power to protect Seele, who Kiana had sent away, and Dark Seele, who was slumbering in the soul world. It then re-fused them and sent them to another Bubble Universe.
During Kiana's execution, it had received an order from the Sea of Quanta: "Seele must not be harmed." It was because the order made no mention of Kiana that Ometeotl didn't realize its mistake…
But there was no need to consider right or wrong anymore. One must admit their mistakes and take their punishment.
At their level of existence, death was impossible anyway. At most, it would just have to pay a certain price.
The light of Finality fell completely.
The Bubble Universe had already dissolved into nothingness as the light approached. Ometeotl's own existence and conceptual laws were continuously scoured by the Power of Finality. Time on its body fluctuated between the beginning and the end, until it reverted to the primordial ball of light from before the chaos was separated, eventually being devoured completely by Finality.
