Chapter 426 - Chapter 426: Welcome Back to Fire Moth

For those who didn't understand, I'll briefly summarize the plot.

Ryn went to the Sea of Quanta as a transit point to jump to the world of Honkai Gakuen 2. Kiana, following the coordinates left on Ryn, broke into the Sea of Quanta.

Beings from the Quantum side and the Imaginary side are hostile to each other. Moreover, Kiana has some special characteristics that allow her to represent the sovereignty of the Imaginary side to some extent. Therefore, Kiana's intrusion was seen as a provocation by the beings of the Sea of Quanta, who sent people to hunt her down.

Then, while fleeing, Kiana fell into the Bubble Universe where Seele was. Then… then the Cocoon intervened to save the day, and the true Honkai God appeared to resurrect Kiana and Sirin.

If you still can't understand this part of the plot, just treat it as a side story.

It's just planting a seed. Whether it will bear fruit in the future is a story for another time.

Leaving plot holes unfilled (just kidding).

The main story begins now.

——————————————

In a distant, unknown place, a newborn world, independent of the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta, welcomed one of its creators.

After leaving the Sea of Quanta and spending some time traveling through space-time, Ryn finally arrived at the world of Fire Moth.

A three-meter-diameter black hole quietly opened in the sky. Ryn, carrying large bags of gifts for Fire Moth's Theresa, Himeko, and the others, jumped out of the black hole.

But as soon as Ryn landed, he felt a cold, metal spear pressed against his back.

"Outsider, you are under arrest."

Ryn froze for a moment, then decisively raised his hands and turned to face Schicksal's Overseer, Theresa, with a smile.

"Grand-aunt, isn't it a bit much to stick a spear in me right after we meet again?"

"I'm just testing your vigilance, to see if you've been slacking off on your training."

Theresa retracted the spear back into the Judah case, looked Ryn up and down, and then stared at him seriously.

"But it's quite obvious that you've been too lax. You didn't even notice me sneaking up behind you."

"Hehe, who would set up defenses in their own home?" Ryn said with a confident smile, his hands on his hips.

Besides, what's the point of setting up defenses?

The worst that could happen is getting ambushed and killed once. Then he'd just crawl back from hell and, as an immortal mad dog, kill the attacker. Simple as that.

"Ryn, that's not a good mindset. Danger often strikes when your guard is down… Besides, who says home is always safe…" Theresa's eyes dimmed, filled with sorrow.

The beginning of this world's destruction was, after all, family killing each other…

Theresa patted her cheeks. It's been so long, but she still couldn't completely let it go!

"Forget it, let's not talk about that. It's all in the past… People always have to move forward."

The dead are dead, and the living are still living. The world has been reborn and has a new future. As a leader, it wasn't appropriate for her to dwell on the past.

"So, a new world, a new future, let's have a new beginning!"

"Ryn, welcome! Welcome to… no, welcome back to the world of Fire Moth!"

Theresa stepped aside, revealing the new world behind her—reborn from destruction, radiating with vigorous life—to Ryn.

The current world of Fire Moth had changed so much that Ryn found it a bit unfamiliar.

The desolate, ruined civilization of the past was gone, replaced by a new order and new architecture.

Freed from the constraints of the Honkai, and with abundant resources in the newborn world, and finally, with Yiselian's fantastic ideas, the world's architectural style seemed to have leaped directly from the 20th century to a technological future decades later.

It was as if this wasn't a newborn world, but a future world where technology had advanced by leaps and bounds.

The new world's social structure consisted of a civil government led by Bronya, formed by ordinary people and called Fire Moth, and a military organization called Schicksal, led by Theresa and composed of former Schicksal Valkyries and later Fire Moth Gray Moth squad members, as well as the general populace.

It's worth mentioning that besides humans, another species lived in Fire Moth…

Pals that would never betray, never disobey orders, and worked tirelessly without complaint—no, Honkai Beasts.

The Honkai still existed in this world, although it had been suppressed to the point where humans wouldn't become Honkai Zombies just by breathing the air.

But as long as it existed, it would continue to accumulate until Honkai Creatures were born.

However, this was also a good thing, because with a little control, the accumulated Honkai energy could be directed to create Honkai Beasts.

The stored energy would be consumed, eliminating the threat to humanity and civilization, and the newborn Honkai Beasts could become everyone's hardworking and reliable Pals.

With Penglaiji Ryn's decree over this world, mindless Honkai Beasts could not refuse human commands or harm humans.

And Honkai Beasts that had developed intelligence and could think independently also enjoyed Honkai Beast rights equivalent to human rights, as long as they didn't violate the rules.

Theresa gave Ryn a good tour of Fire Moth, then took him to the tallest building in Nagazora City, the new ME Corp headquarters.

She pointed to a dark red abyss in the middle of Nagazora City, one that cut across the city and stretched to the ends of the world, its boundaries out of sight.

"Ryn, look. This is the abyss you created when you left. After some discussion, we named it after you, calling it 'The Ryn Abyss.'

Using Nagazora City as the starting point and The Ryn Abyss as the dividing line, we've divided the entire world into two continents—the East Continent and the West Continent.

Although we don't know why you left this 'Ryn Abyss,' its existence has been a great help in establishing our new order. So, regardless of the initial reason, looking at the result, we have to thank you properly."

"Thank you, Ryn." Theresa looked Ryn in the eyes seriously and bowed to him.

"Uh… don't be like that, no need to thank me…"

Ryn's mouth twitched, and his toes curled in embarrassment, wanting to dig a hole through the ME Corp tower.

Who knew that when he was leaving, Tianqi would suddenly pop out and punch him…

"By the way, Theresa. I brought you a gift!" Ryn put down the large backpack he was carrying and started rummaging through it, looking for Theresa's present.

"Oh? What could it be? Is it a specialty from your world?"

Theresa quickly covered her eyes, not wanting to watch Ryn look for the gift. Since it's a gift, it should be a complete surprise! How could she peek!

But Theresa couldn't hold back. She slightly parted her fingers, and her small, curious and expectant eyes peeked through the gap, watching as Ryn took out… a box of health supplements???!

"Wait, wait, is there some kind of mistake! This thing is a gift?!" Theresa pointed at the Melatonin and height-increasing medicine in Ryn's hand in disbelief, letting out a sharp cry.

"Uh… I think you really need this…"

"Hehe… how nice… what a nice gift!"

Theresa took out the Oath of Judah from under her skirt, hoisted it onto her shoulder in a charging stance, and said to Ryn with a "kind" smile:

"For such a great gift, it would be rude of me not to give something in return, right? But I don't have anything good on me… so, Ryn, stick your head out and let me give it a good pat."

"Haha… I also brought gifts for the others. I won't disturb you, I'll be leaving now!" Ryn shoved the Melatonin and height-increasing medicine into Theresa's arms and immediately turned to run.

"Ryn!!!"

Theresa roared angrily, but seeing that Ryn had already run far away, she quickly glanced around to make sure no one else saw.

She threw the Melatonin directly into the trash can, but tucked the height-increasing medicine into her clothes like a treasure, and left ME Corp furtively.
