In the time that followed, a few blueprints naturally couldn't show the complete structure of an Armed Doll. Whenever Dr. Einstein didn't understand something about the blueprint, she would come and ask Ryn.
Although Ryn was clueless about the questions Dr. Einstein raised, thankfully, Cortana's analysis of Armed Doll Kevin was detailed enough. No matter what Dr. Einstein asked, Ryn could build a model and show it to her from all angles.
However, Ryn urged Dr. Einstein to do more of her own research, because this Armed Doll Kevin was just something Kevin had built from scratch. Apart from the frame, which could be used as a reference, it was useless.
It was covered in firepower systems from head to toe, and if it couldn't win a fight, it would just self-destruct. If Dr. Einstein really did build a replica of this thing based on Armed Doll Kevin's blueprint, it might just suddenly decide it was unhappy one day and self-destruct for a fireworks show.
Mobius, being ostracized by her classmates, didn't like to stay at school and learned by secretly observing others. She had long since completed her elementary, middle, and high school studies and was now secretly learning university-level knowledge.
Now, with Dr. Einstein as her guarantor, Mobius took the official grade-skipping exams and directly became a precocious "university student."
She also became Dr. Einstein's student, which was a huge step up. Although Dr. Einstein's research direction was different from what Mobius wanted to study, her knowledge and ideas completely opened up a new world for Mobius.
Armed Doll Kevin was not the Armed Doll Einstein wanted. She believed that the most important aspects of an Armed Doll were their "cognition" and "personality," and the focus of research in this area was artificial intelligence.
So Ryn now also joined Dr. Einstein's research team, occasionally taking some exams to get certified, and in a week, he also became some kind of doctor. Then he could openly apply for research funding from the higher-ups and obtain some rare materials.
Then he dived headfirst into the field of artificial intelligence research, causing countless scholars to lament that such a young doctor had jumped into such a deep pit.
Well, that was that. They now knew the structural blueprint for the Armed Doll, but its chip, battery, and so on were limited by the fact that Honkai energy was not yet widely used, and they had hit a bottleneck.
So Dr. Einstein shifted her focus to the field of artificial intelligence, trying to develop an AI with "human emotions."
The result was that Dr. Einstein discovered that her meager funding was not enough to develop the Armed Doll...
For the sake of research funding, Einstein really did start researching the atomic bomb again...
With Ryn's "little help," in just a few days, Einstein and Ryn took a real miniature nuclear bomb to the Ministry of Defense and applied for a large sum of experimental funding from their superiors.
Not only did they get the funding, but the higher-ups also specially allocated a large piece of land for Einstein to study nuclear weapons.
Then this funding was divided between Einstein and Ryn and invested in the field of artificial intelligence research.
Mobius thought these two were simply incredible. Why would they study cold, lifeless machines that only followed code instructions instead of living beings?
A few years later, Mobius, this precocious little brat, actually chose to part ways with Ryn and Einstein and went into biology on her own.
And in these few years, some things happened that were neither big nor small.
The Honkai erupted.
A Honkai eruption that no one saw coming broke out in the city. Due to the lack of response measures and experience, the armies using conventional thermal weapons were easily torn apart and swept away in large numbers by the Honkai Creatures.
People who did not understand how quickly the Honkai infection spread watched helplessly as a city fell, turning into a hellish ruin overrun with zombies in just three days.
The Honkai continued to expand, eventually evolving into a Great Honkai Eruption capable of birthing a Herrscher...
And the one chosen to become the Herrscher was the little boy who had been led away from Canghai City by Ryn's straw doll clone...
Or perhaps, this Honkai eruption was actually a social reform initiated by the little boy.
But the result was beyond the little boy's imagination. He only wanted to use his military might to make people submit, but he never expected that once the Honkai began, it would not stop...
The little boy was filled with remorse for not listening to the straw doll's advice and causing all this. In the end, he committed suicide under the straw doll's blade of grass.
The little boy died, but the First Herrscher was born in his body...
After the straw doll died, its memories were transmitted back to Ryn. Only then did Ryn, who had spent who knows how long in the lab, realize that trouble was about to begin.
Because the higher-ups had suppressed the news of the incident, it wasn't until the situation was irreversible and large-scale weapons were needed that Dr. Einstein and other scientists learned about it and began to study the Honkai.
The First Herrscher, the Herrscher of Reason, possessed the Authority to analyze and replicate all things. People paid a great price to figure out his abilities, but they also discovered his weakness.
Besides being able to wield a large amount of Honkai energy and possessing incredible Authority, a Herrscher's body was the same as an ordinary person's, made of normal flesh and blood.
So, the Herrscher was strong, but also very easy to kill.
The First Herrscher, who inherited the little boy's memories and thoughts and possessed high intelligence, should have been able to fully utilize the Herrscher's Authority... but he was influenced by the little boy's desire for and obsession with power. He didn't use his Authority at all, but he unleashed Honkai energy more violently than anyone else.
People delayed until the First Herrscher exhausted his stamina, seized the opportunity to launch a surprise attack, and blew his head off with a heavy sniper rifle.
With that, following the death of the First Herrscher, the First Great Honkai Eruption came to an end.
But the Honkai never stopped.
The United Nations covered up the news to prevent public panic and riots.
Honkai energy, an almost omnipotent energy substance, began to circulate in the scientific community. Social technology began to break through continuously, entering previously unreachable unknown fields.
With the large-scale use of Honkai energy, the Honkai crisis also began to break out in various parts of the world. At the same time, an incurable disease called Honkai Disease began to gradually spread throughout human society.
