Chapter 559 - Chapter 559: This is the poison of parting. Please accept it with gratitude, okay?

With the initial development of the first-generation Armed Doll model, Ryn had successfully accumulated some experience and technology regarding "Sentient Personalities."

The cost of using Honkai energy to overcome quantum tunneling was too great. Ryn couldn't possibly sit around and idly hand-craft chips with Honkai energy, and besides Ryn, no one else possessed such a high level of Authority to make Honkai energy become whatever he commanded.

Without chips, it was difficult to mass-produce Armed Dolls.

So, as mentioned before, Dr. Einstein might as well research weapons; Armed Dolls were just a waste of time...

However, both Ryn and Einstein scoffed at this idea. Armed Dolls could fight in place of people and assist in daily life, their effects far better than mere weapons.

Look, Dr. Einstein's complexion and spirits have improved so much now that she's raising a child.

Still, the inability to mass-produce them was indeed a critical flaw. But Ryn knew that the problem of quantum tunneling would be solved by someone in a few years.

As everyone knows, the true material of an Armed Doll wasn't the Honkai energy material Ryn could conjure at will, but a tangible crystallization of human wisdom that had overcome the quantum tunneling effect—Soulium.

It was a special metal composed of countless nanomachines. Because its particles were smaller than even the constituent particles of Honkai energy, it could not only block Honkai energy but also fully mobilize and utilize it by adjusting the nanomachines within the Soulium.

He just didn't know who on earth invented Soulium. If he did, Ryn would go grab them right now, lock them in a little black room, and not let them out until they developed it.

Because in the end, Cortana's data chip was also made of Soulium, although Ryn felt that giving Cortana Soulium was a waste...

But Cortana was family, after all. He couldn't in good conscience just give her junk material.

With the Armed Doll project done and Cortana's chip development complete, all that was left was to wait for the development and appearance of Soulium metal.

Unfortunately, the Key of Domination Fu Hua had given him was thrown into a black hole and melted down. Otherwise, Ryn would now transform into a complete Herrscher of Reason, begin analyzing its materials, and crack the manufacturing process for Soulium.

Oh well, there was still plenty of time. The Honkai had already begun to erupt. No matter how late Soulium appeared, it couldn't be decades late, right?

Ryn said hello to Dr. Einstein, resigned from his position as a researcher, and packed up to go home and raise his child.

Dr. Einstein was overwhelmed with the blank slate of a child that was zero, but she still took the time to earnestly instruct Ryn and bid him farewell.

Before leaving, Ryn also went to see Mobius to tell her that he was about to leave the Mu Continent and might not return in the future.

Mobius, who usually had a look of indifference, not caring about anything, and was somewhat arrogant and condescending, actually showed a rare moment of sadness.

Upon hearing the news of Ryn's departure, the high-spirited Mobius, who had been conducting an experiment with a slight smile on her lips, opened her mouth as if to say something but didn't know what to say. Her face immediately darkened.

She stabbed the poor little white mouse being studied on the experimental table to death with a single stroke, then expressionlessly wiped the blood from her hands, her gaze as cold as a snake's as she looked at Ryn.

"When are you getting lost?"

"Uh..."

Ryn was taken aback, startled by Mobius's reaction. What happened to the sadness he had just seen? Why did she now look like she wanted to kill him?

"The departure time isn't set yet. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow afternoon."

"Oh... in such a hurry."

Mobius looked at Ryn, but her thoughts had already drifted elsewhere, her eyes empty and numb.

Ryn: "Yeah... my work is done. There's nothing left for me here, so it's time to go."

"Fine. Will you ever come back?"

"Hard to say. The future is for the future to know."

"Heh... then get lost."

Mobius rolled her eyes and waved her hand at Ryn with some annoyance, bidding him farewell.

*He won't even say a comforting word like he'll come back to visit when he has time. What a boring guy.*

Mobius said no more, shook her head, and turned to leave without a backward glance.

Well, Ryn had long anticipated Mobius's current reaction. He could only say it was very much in line with her character.

Even in parting, she was stubborn, too proud to properly express her reluctance, using harsh questions to mask her emotions.

Ryn silently helped Mobius clean up the things on her experimental table, then wrote a few notes on her work desk reminding her to eat well and rest properly.

After finishing, he slowly left Mobius's laboratory.

At night, Ryn lay in bed, scrolling through his phone, waiting for Elysia to reply to his message.

He had sent Elysia a message at noon telling her he was coming back, but who knew where that girl had run off to play with Maheśvara; she still hadn't replied.

Feeling a bit thirsty, Ryn casually picked up the water glass on his bedside table and took a few sips.

"Huh... why does this plain water taste so weird? It has no flavor...!"

Ryn smacked his lips, a little disappointed. Mobius probably forgot to add the drugs, and he wasn't used to drinking normal plain water all of a sudden.

*That girl, I'm about to leave, has she really given up just like that? Not even a final push... such a lack of ambition!*

Although, it would be a miracle if that scalpel meant for normal people could even break his skin. A Soulium scalpel might have a chance~

A few minutes later, Ryn closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

About ten minutes later, a little green wriggly snake carefully emerged from under Ryn's bed.

Standing by Ryn's bedside, looking at his sleeping face, Mobius gritted her teeth in frustration.

"I worked so hard to learn pharmacology and concoct a sleeping potion to poison you, and to you, it's just like I'm mixing you a beverage, is that it?!"

Mobius quietly vented her emotions, then took out a large can of pink powder from her pocket, along with a funnel.

She carefully climbed onto Ryn's bedside table and knelt on it. Then Mobius inserted the funnel into Ryn's slightly open mouth, even pushing it in firmly to make sure it wouldn't fall out.

Seeing that Ryn didn't react even to this, Mobius opened the container and poured all of the carefully prepared fine pink powder in at once.

Afraid that Ryn would choke on so much powder, Mobius thoughtfully added a few bottles of water to mix with it.

As she poured, Mobius would occasionally reach out with her small hand to pick up some of the powder that had spilled around Ryn's mouth, then put it in her own mouth to suck on.
