The faint orange light of candles filled Hiro's room. He lay on his luxurious and expensive bed, which was a stark contrast to the minimalist surroundings of the room. His legs crossed casually at the ankles and arms stretched above his head.
The settlement had grown quiet. Everyone except those on patrol or stationed at the Refugee Arrival Station had already retired for the night.
Hiro stared at the ceiling. His eyes remained open despite the late hour.
"What are you thinking about?" Carnalia's voice broke the silence. Her tone was sultry and teasing, each word wrapped in velvet.
"About how I wasn't able to have enough sex today," Hiro responded after a second or two of silence.
A normal woman would have called him a pervert and ended the conversation then and there. Carnalia was not normal.
"If I had my body right now, I wouldn't mind giving you the best sex you'll ever know right this instant." Her words dripped with honey and promise.
