Cultivation

All life draws from the world's breath, Youm, the primordial energy that saturates the mainland.Only those who kindle their inner core may refine it.

At the age of twelve, every human undergoes the Awakening, revealing their Attribute and opening the First Gate: Genesis. From here begins the long ascent—each Gate more unforgiving than the last, each Step steeper than the one before it.

Attributes of The Realm

While certain bloodline attributes remain unrecorded or forbidden to list, the following are commonly observed among awakened cultivators:

Fire / Flame – Pure destruction, radiant shields, battlefield control.

Curse – Fate-twisting afflictions that sap strength and spirit.

Alchemy – Forging, transmutation, explosive mixtures, and protective brews.

Space – Rifts, displacement, spatial folds, and limited temporal distortion.

Damned – Manifestation of an inner beast; wild, brutal, unpredictable.

Plant – Growth, strangling vines, natural armor, toxin creation.

Blood – Vitality manipulation, blood weapons, sacrificial power.

Gravity – Compression, repulsion, crushing pressure.

Electricity – Paralysis, current flow, neural disruption.

Frost – Ice shaping, freezing breath, cryokinesis.

Necrosis – Rot, decay, corrosion of matter—life's antithesis.

*************************************************************

Light – Versatile, healing, cutting, binding, blinding.

Dark – Shapeless power, illusions, consumption, concealment.

Light and Darkness are one-of-a-kind.

They belong only to two siblings:

The Brother, who wields Darkness in its purest form,

And The Sister, who wields untainted light.

These forms are not elemental variants. They are singular manifestations, unmatched and unreplicable.

In case you meet them, pray you are a friend and not a foe, or that they are weak and unable to fully manifest their power.

The Dominant Powers of the Mainland

Humanity survived beneath the watchful presence of Primordial Beasts—colossal, ancient beings that carved the fate of nations. Each kingdom owes its rise to one such entity.

Vermillion Kingdom -The Vermillion Beast

Bone Kingdom -The Three-Headed Bone Serpent

Glacial Empire -The Behemoth

Myriad Depths Kingdom -The Leviathan

Celestial Fang Kingdom -The Emperor Dragon

When calamity threatens their people, these titans have historically emerged to defend their own.Several have not been seen for centuries… yet all tomes remain with the same inscription:Primordials do not die. They only sleep.

Lesser Kingdoms and Vassal Powers

Outside the Five Pillars lie numerous lesser kingdoms:

Some are proud, ancient, and stubbornly independent.

Others bow willingly, seeking protection, trade, or survival from the greater Kingdoms.

A few attempt to stand equal, but they are brought to their knees along with their pathetic pride.

Though their rulers may claim otherwise, all know the truth:They do not compare to the great five.

Non-Human Races of the Far Realms

Beyond human lands, scattered through deep forests, broken mountains, frozen wastes, and submerged dominions, dwell:

Beastmen — half-beast, half-human, fiercely territorial.

Spirits — beings of pure Youm, bound to nature and ancient pacts.

Elves — immortal practitioners of silent arts, reclusive and sharp of mind.

And other creatures and beings.

Only a few races tolerate human presence.

Final Note from the Archivist

You will forget some of this.Humans are fragile, leaky vessels with questionable memory. But fret not.

Chisana Tensai will resurface whenever your mind inevitably collapses into confusion.

tututut… pitiful creatures.

I wonder...what else exists in the other broken realms far off...
