Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Raymond Jones walked through the vast underground basement of the elementary school at a brisk pace.

He held up his phone flashlight as he navigated each turn, taking in just how much excess supplies and outright junk was stored against every wall. Everything from old desks to chalk boards to hockey nets and an endless array of chairs.

He angled his flashlight up once he reached his destination. The tunnel he was in extended outside the school building and had an exit hatch located inside a storage shed next to the baseball pitch.

Walking up the small concrete steps, he knocked on the roof of the hatch which instantly opened up.

He blinked his eyes at the sudden, harsh incandescent lightbulb swinging above him.

"I was beginning to think you'd gotten lost, Mr. Jones. You were gone longer than you said you would be. I trust you found what you were looking for?"

Raymond nodded at the stout administrator standing at the top of the steps, conveying his thanks before leaving the shed.

Crossing the school field, he exited through an opening at the corner of the fence and headed to his ride.

Entering his black Mercedes Benz, he locked the door and leaned back into his seat, resting his head and closing his eyes. A slow smile curved his lips as he thought about how he'd just claimed Simone at her workplace.

That had been very bold of her.

From what he'd known of her from the time they'd dated, he knew her to be very reserved and shy. He didn't expect her to initiate a sexual encounter inside a janitor's closet where anyone could have heard them.

Then again, everything about their reunion was strange.

He was a changed man.

And she too had changed a lot.

She was letting a complete stranger fuck her raw. Not just once but multiple times. He'd only pulled out the first time.

Had she noticed?

The implications of it were not lost on him. He wondered how she felt about it. Had she considered it yet? Was she taking the morning after pill? Did he want her to?

He did, didn't he?

From all her mother had told him, Simone had become very closed off and depressed over the last 5 years. She had lost all ambition and was just working to get by.

He knew most of it had to do with her asshole father, but he was certain that him breaking up with her around the same time hadn't helped.

Neither had that other "incident".

He knew he should have gone to her sooner. Even now, as he sat in his car feeling deliciously sated, his heart still burned with guilt.

Why am I doing things this way? I know I shouldn't and yet, I can't resist her.

He frowned slightly when he recalled all he had read in her diary. Which he had recently acquired from her reluctant mother.

Simone hated her body and was convinced she was ugly, fat and undesirable.

She had also written in great length about her father's betrayal, her insomnia, her love for her half-sister and her despair over her break up with him---an incident which she could not recall correctly. A pain she held that only hurt her more because she couldn't reconcile with what she did not fully understand.

Raymond knew why Simone could not remember him and so did her mother. It was a sensitive topic which they had decided to keep between themselves.

He had been an idiot to have ever dumped her, but what she had done as a result had nearly torn him apart.

Thus, he had stayed away out of shame.

But more than that, he did not wish to revive her pain.

The Simone he had known and dated had been a very different person from the woman he saw now. But she was no less endearing. If anything, her change had made her more enticing. Soft and feminine.

Just like her body which he simply could not get enough of.

And her eyes! Those aching hazel eyes which reached right into his chest and squeezed his heart. It was said that the eyes were the windows to the soul, but hers were like a blackhole. Bleak, yet inviting.

Raymond started his car, looking back at the school as he drove away. He didn't want to leave. Not now. Not ever. But he had something he needed to create for Simone. Something he hoped she would take as a sincere token of his desire for reconciliation once he finally revealed himself.

I've already told her I love her, yet it feels like a hallow confession seeing as she doesn't know who I am.

Pulling out of the residential area, he turned onto the main road. He was still lost in his thoughts when his phone rang. A quick glance revealed it was the dreaded date he'd been telling his mother he wanted out of.

He had already avoided two by scheduling meetings at the same time, but his mother simply refused to quit. She insisted he get married and provide her with grandchildren by the end of the year.

So six months exact.

Like Simone, Raymond was only 26 years old. He had no reason to rush into a marriage. He didn't know why his mother was so adamant.

His hands clenched on the steering wheel as he thought about his date. Or as his mother called her; prospective bride to be. Tracy Roberts was a 22 year old woman who came from a moderately wealthy family. Her mother and father were the owners of a shopping mall.

He had met the entire family on two separate occasions and they were pleasant enough. Still, he felt no desire to form a closer relationship. Tracy, her parents only child and daughter, had shown a keen interest in Raymond's mother. She had clung to the older woman and won her over.

Soon after, his mother had come to him with the brilliant idea of marrying Tracy.

His parents both knew of his past relationship with Simone. He had not fully told them everything that had transpired, but he had made it clear that there was no way he could take an interest in any other woman since Simone still occupied his mind.

His mother had been fair, Raymond had to concede. She had tried to pry more on his feelings regarding his ex and even felt bad for him when he spoke of his guilt and how he felt too cowardly to return to her and patch things up.

Initially, his mother had told him to return to Simone. But as the years passed and he made no move, she decided that the best way to take Simone off his mind was to pair him up with another woman.

Tracy Roberts was very pretty and carried herself gracefully.

But he didn't want anything to do with her. He was already in love with another woman.

And now after 5 years of monitoring Simone from a distance, now that he'd actually gotten close to her and had loved her the way he'd fantasized about on countless nights, he knew he was even more deeply ensnared that before. Their amazing physical chemistry was clearly a sign that they were meant for each other.

And the way she responded so well to his passion, even matched it, proved that on some level even she could feel their connection as well.

He knew she had been very lonely. But so had he. He was desperate for intimacy. And she was the only person he wanted it from.

Even though he hated the fact that she had been unhappy and had isolated herself, in a way he was also grateful for it. The last thing he'd wanted was to walk in on her having moved on and found another man.

Just the thought of it made his eyes narrow with anger.

She was alone and she was unhappy. But that's how I was able to make her mine. If there had been another guy...I don't know what I would have done. I guess I could have paid him to walk away, but then she would hurt from that as well. I know first hand how fragile she is. Each rejection she faces she never fully recovers from.

And if she'd faced two breakups I doubt she would have been as compliant with me sneaking up behind her to fuck her.

No, she would have probably reacted like a normal person and attacked me.

Then called the police.

Raymond stopped at a red light, cursing when his phone rang again, followed by text messages.

He did not like or dislike Tracy. But now that he'd finally reentered Simone's life, the thought of having to sit through an evening with any other woman and pretending to act interested was greatly unappealing.

"I wish I could just ask Mione on a date," he grumbled under his breath. "I could listen to her blab about anything and not get bored. Heck, she could read to me. I could bring her to my place, lay down on her lap and listen to her read a children's novel to me. I wouldn't mind so as long as I can be near her...and hear her voice."

And once she was done reading he'd lift his head from her lap, spread her legs and kiss her right on her pussy as a thank you.

Just the thought of eating her out made his mouth water. He recalled how sweet she had tasted. The way her body had shuddered with each rapid stroke of his tongue.

His cock instantly hardened in his pants.

Hearing a honk, Raymond mentally shook himself and focused on driving. Normally, he could multitask while he was behind the wheel, but thoughts of Simone was a serious distraction now that he'd been with her.

Pulling into the parking lot of a high end restaurant, he sent a quick text to his mother informing her that he was fulfilling her request and going to entertain one date with Tracy Roberts.

"And that's it," he muttered under his breath, unbuckling his seatbelt. "One hour, one meal, one mindless conversation and then bye bye."
