He paused briefly before continuing.
"But there is one person who made me reconsider everything. It is the fortune teller I told you about, the one who owns the bank from which your rebate money used to come."
Aurora stared at him in surprise.
Spencer looked directly at her and said, "I have already arranged a meeting with this fortune teller. Shall we go and meet them?"
Aurora nodded, but then suddenly paused. "Have you rechecked everything at least four times?"
Spencer nodded. Aurora sighed.
"Honestly, I don't doubt you. I just doubt myself. I keep worrying that what happened last time will happen again."
Spencer shook his head. "It won't."
He gently looked into her eyes.
"Aurora, when you fear something too much, you sometimes end up giving that fear the power to control you. So don't fear it."
Aurora remained silent for a moment before finally nodding. "All right. I understand."
