Chapter 334 - The Call of the Ancient Ruins

By now, Hu Kuang had been pushed aside as the members of the monster beast royal family grew increasingly impatient.

How could they stand to wait this long?

"Ah! Now I understand why the high priest looked so stunned!"

One of the royal beasts, after taking a sip of Coke, was visibly shocked.

"I've never tasted anything like this before!"

"These spicy bars are amazing, too! It feels like swallowing a ball of fire, and my realm feels like it's rising with every bite..."

The royal family members were completely captivated by the combination of Coke and spicy bars!

"I was wondering if it was a bit reckless for us to eat like this..." One beast tried to maintain some rationality.

"What's wrong with it?"

"These cola and spicy bars could serve as life-saving treasures when danger strikes!"

"You're right, but I just can't help myself... this stuff is so delicious!"

"Exactly!"

"..."

The realization hit them all at once—the portions of spicy bars and Coke were far too small for their appetites!

Soon enough, every last morsel was gone.

"Boss, do we really have to buy these products every day?" one of the braver royals asked, his curiosity piqued.

Luo Chuan simply nodded. "The rules are as such."

"Ah, I see..."

The group fell into a brief silence, a mix of disappointment and acceptance hanging in the air.

"Since that's settled, let's continue with the sacrifices!"

The high priest, observing the group, spoke up, signaling the next phase.

Luo Chuan, stepping back, observed all of this with an intrigued expression.

At the altar, the high priest's spiritual energy poured out from his body, flowing into the structure. At the same time, murmurs—as if originating from some hidden place—began to fill the air.

An otherworldly aura began to gather in the valley, growing heavier by the second.

Luo Chuan could feel the presence of something vast and ancient rising. In the distance, a phantom in the sky began to solidify, as though it were emerging from the depths of time and space, making its way toward the present world.

"Ziyan, what is this ancient relic you've called upon?" Luo Chuan asked, curiosity sparking in his voice.

Yao Ziyan paused before answering, her expression thoughtful.

"In the monster beast royal family, we have a legacy that has been passed down for generations," she began.

"Legacy?"

Luo Chuan's interest deepened. He had always found such ancient, prophetic traditions to be rather intriguing—and a little incredible.

"Yes." Yao Ziyan nodded, the tone of her voice tinged with reverence. "The legacy tells of ancient relics that can be summoned through sacrificial offerings. These relics are said to help our family restore the glory of the past."

She paused, gathering her thoughts.

"In ancient times, Azure Continent was not dominated by humans, as it is now. The world was shared by monsters, humans, and many other races. But for some unknown reason, humans have become the dominant species. Over time, countless other races have disappeared—vanished from history. Perhaps only in the most ancient and forbidden books are there still records of these lost civilizations…"

Luo Chuan nodded, the weight of her words settling on him.

Ancient history, powerful relics, and lost races—these things seemed far removed from his everyday life.

What did it have to do with him?

Luo Chuan's dream was simple: to be a boss, quietly and peacefully.

Every day, he could sell goods that made him stronger—what more could he ask for?

Fighting, killing, and intrigue were not part of the life he desired.

As for what happened around him…

Luo Chuan could only sigh. Sometimes things just found their way to him, whether he wanted them or not.

The sacrifices continued, and the misty aura around the altar began to grow denser, more intense.

It was as if something was about to break free.

Finally, just as the tension reached its peak, the entire altar erupted in brilliant light—a blinding beam shot straight into the sky, connecting with the phantom of the ancient ruins in the distance, pulling it ever closer to this world.
