Her eyes lingered on the list of her Pinnacle Tethers that formed the very spine of her might. Spatial Manipulation had been her birthright but it was the refinement of that right and the unlocking of its latent forms that separated her from everyone else, even among Divines. She remembered the early days when she had trained under Isabel, Lysameria's subordinate.
It was through that training she had unlocked [Castless Magecraft], a Base Tether that was deceptively simple in its description but revolutionary in its application. Most mages, even powerful ones, were tethered to instruments of invocation of Runes, Mystic Circles and spells. Narisva had learned to bypass all of that.
With Castless Magecraft, her understanding of space became a pattern she could weave without symbols. The very air around her bent to her will as though it had a memory of her presence. She was a Ninth Star Mage as well. That was how monstrous Narisva was in growth that she achieved all of it I'm six months.
Her Base Tethers, the inherent capabilities of her Celestial body, only amplified this. Hardened Body allowed her to withstand what would shatter a Divine without so much as a scratch. Spatial Energy Absorption and Regeneration ensured she never truly ran out of fuel. Even as Frostdeath's cold gnawed at her senses, her form was capable of drawing from the latent fabric of space to repair, restore and reinforce. Mystic Eyes of the Event Horizon gave her perception over space itself. It was a kind of localized omniscience that let her understand not only where she was, but what the surrounding realms could or could not do. And it was like a passive World Overwrite.
Even so, she paused over her Pinnacle Tethers. She possessed nine of them, all stemming from Spatial Manipulation alone. Sight Teleportation, Dimension Creation, Gravity Manipulation… and each stage of advancement had added new forms, new capabilities that compounded her effectiveness exponentially.
Miniature Heavenly Body Creation allowed her to create celestial constructs at will and Spatial Severance made the physical laws pliable at her fingertips. Hyper Relative Velocity was subtle but devastating. It gave her the ability to move parts of herself faster than the body's inertia allowed, and to make defense nearly impenetrable and her strikes impossible to predict.
She reflected on the patterns of her growth.
Unlike Vastarael, who amplified his abilities by harmonizing them with his Divinities, she relied on the structural Forms taught by Isabel. Each breakthrough from Essentia to Ascender to Divine had been accompanied by three new Tethers unlocked automatically under Spatial Manipulation. That was why, though her power might appear monolithic under a single header, it was actually a latticework of intricate functions, each reinforcing the others.
Her eyes lingered briefly on Castless Magecraft again.
Training with Isabel had been grueling. At first, Narisva had struggled to remove herself from the habitual reliance on her scythe Milkshake to force her understanding of space into pure thought. Isabel had forced her into simulations where every small misalignment of her Tethers would snap the environment around her, forcing instant recalibration or disaster. She remembered the first time she had successfully created a pocket dimension without uttering a single word. She had felt something transcend the usual constraints of power. That was the foundation of what she now wielded.
To anyone looking at her, her eyes might have seem starry but she knew better. She had known that they were far from ordinary.
Mystic Eyes.
The term itself barely did justice to what they represented. Among mortals, they were almost mythical and they had higher chances of possessing them. Among immortals and Divine Beings, they were so rare, in fact, that the number of known bearers could be counted easily on two hands. In the history of recorded Divinity, those who had Mystic Eyes were anomalies. Even among the Third Generation, those born with them were practically unheard of.
Narisva, of course, had been born with hers.
She remembered the first time she became aware of it, long before the concept of Forms or Pinnacle Tethers had been explained to her. Even as a child, she could perceive space differently than anyone around her. Light, matter, gravity, it all had patterns she could see in ways that were invisible to everyone else. At first, it had been terrifying. The world did not behave as others expected it to behave and she did not know why. She had cried often, overwhelmed by the sense of everything moving in too many directions at once.
That was before Isabel.
Her training with Isabel reshaped not just her body and her Tethers but her perception itself. It was through that training that her Mystic Eyes evolved into what she now recognized as Event Horizon. Unlike ordinary Mystic Eyes, which were limited to glimpses of energy or precognition, Event Horizon allowed her to extend her perception into an active, manipulating radius.
With fifty hundred meters in every direction was a sphere that acted as both shield and sensor. Within it, space itself was a malleable canvas she could shape as she desired. Anyone entering her sphere could not use their spatial abilities without her permission. And she knew immediately when they did, whether intentionally or not. She could intercept the movements of the smallest distortions in space within her radius, and she could manipulate the outcomes of those movements at will.
More than that, within her Event Horizon, her Spatial Manipulation capabilities were magnified.
She could summon a miniature sun anywhere within the sphere and it would behave as if the normal limitations of space and distance did not exist. Gravity, dimensional folds, severance, all were absolute within that radius. She could collapse space to crush a Krepsuna without touching it, or slow a fragment of ice in midair so it never hit the ground. Anyone foolish enough to challenge her in that radius would find themselves trapped in a cage of physics so absolute it was invisible, imperceptible and inescapable.
It was terrifying in theory and Narisva knew it. She had seen its effects during training. Isabel had pushed her into simulated helplessness again and again, forcing her to manage multiple threats within a confined space, each one testing the limits of her control. At first, she had struggled to comprehend the radius itself, confused by the way the sphere acted almost independently, enforcing laws she didn't consciously command. Over time, she had learned to anticipate it and as an extension of her senses that moved with her intent.
Now, it was effortless.
Casually, Narisva extended her hand toward the entrance of the cave. Snow drifted in from the wind. She tilted her wrist slightly and the snowflakes slowed down before floating in midair for a moment, suspended by the unspoken rules of her radius. Then she released her hand. They fell softly as though they had never moved at all. Though, she didn't keep it active at all times because it consumed a lot of Spatial Energy, like all Mystic Eyes do. For some reason, Adelasta is the only one who isn't that much affected by the energy loss using Mystic Eyes unlike her or Veneri. And finally, she looked at the three things she always avoided to see.
