Ivan entered the balcony. He immediately felt the cool air flowing there.
Taking in a deep breath, he walked to the balcony stone railing.
"Ah!" He heard a small, frightened sound.
He snapped his head to the side. There was a girl sitting on the floor beneath the balustrades.
She was looking up at him with surprise.
She hurriedly stood up and bowed. "I'm sorry, prince. I was a bit scared."
"It's fine." Ivan said, looking at her.
He looked at her, taking notice of her platinum blonde hair.
"I-Im Carolyn Cornwell, your highness." Carolyn introduced.
'Carolyn Cornwell?' Ivan pondered. The name sounded a bit familiar.
Oh. Wasn't she the girl his sisters and friends couldn't stop complaining about?
"You're the daughter of Count Cornwell?" He asked.
Carolyn nodded. "Yes, your highness."
He nodded. "What are you doing here?" He asked.
Carolyn gripped the side of her dress and averted her serene blue eyes.
"I just wanted some air. It's... a bit stuffy inside."
