Chantelle kept her eyes fixed on the camera, looking fierce and unyielding. She did not allow even a hint of fear to show. She also did not bother telling Daniel to shut his mouth. It was better to save her energy for what was coming next.
There was no response from the camera.
The bodyguard she had spoken to earlier seemed to receive an order through his Bluetooth earpiece. He started moving toward Chantelle.
Chantelle's expression was cold. She had no intention of giving in, no matter what they said.
"Please…"
The moment he opened his mouth, Chantelle already knew what he was about to say. She kicked him hard in the crotch and snatched the gun from his hand. She immediately aimed at the other bodyguard who was pointing his gun at her and shot him in the wrist.
She moved forward and swiftly kicked him out of the room. Then she grabbed a second gun and locked the door.
Everything happened in one clean motion. Daniel stared at her with his face filled with shock.
