"Really?" Qingbao awkwardly continued the conversation. Some relationships are just like that—most convenient when they're neither too close nor too distant.
Jiang Nian didn't stay long, leaving after a couple of cups of tea.
"Goodbye then."
"Mm-hmm." Qingbao walked to the door, waved, "By the way, do you still want that shredded fish?"
She regretted it the moment she said it.
"Yeah, delivery services are back." Jiang Nian replied in surprise, "Teacher, remember to mail it to me when it's ready to go."
"Sure." Qingbao smiled.
After speaking, Jiang Nian stopped in the hallway and didn't leave. Qingbao didn't urge him; they were separated by a short distance.
