The beast tide in the Arrow Bamboo Forest has been going on for so many years. It's not just Xia Chuan, but anyone who has ever ventured outside of Xia City is pretty familiar with it.
The beast tide comes with the Crystal Fruit's ripening period, occurring every four months, three times a year. Each time, the tide consists of over ten thousand Cold Beasts, originating from deep within Redwood Ridge. These Cold Beasts emerge from within Redwood Ridge, traversing paths to flood into the Arrow Bamboo Forest, charging eastward into its depths.
Then, when the beast tide ends, one-third of the Cold Beasts gradually return.
The cause of the beast tide is not hard to conjecture. It's likely that something within the Arrow Bamboo Forest attracts them, and that thing, perhaps akin to vegetation, matures every four months, otherwise, the beast tide wouldn't be so regular.
