Is the Three Vassals a unified entity?
Chu Longteng's ambition and Moao River's route are known to all. If the Three Vassals truly had a united front, then where would Chen Cang have found its opportunity?
Treaties, alliances, collaborations have always been a double-edged sword. The good is that there is strength in numbers; the bad is that everyone has their own agenda. In most cases, getting a one plus one equals two result is already worth burning incense for, and sometimes things are even worse, single combat might be preferable.
Even combined, the Three Vassals lack the strength to destroy Chen Cang. Yet, Chen Cang can devour and annex them one by one, as their current actions against Cai Qiu plainly demonstrate.
