The arrival of Miss Kaori took Shirakawa Sawahei by surprise. Inside, the lights were off, so for quite a while, a few Calligraphy Club girls had been chatting with him in the dark. He was just about to get up when he felt the weight of a little girl pressing down on his left hand.
"Don't go!" The girl glared at him, though in the pitch-black darkness, he couldn't see her expression. Shirakawa Sawahei was a bit helpless and just as he wanted to have the girl get off his bed, she whispered in his ear: "Tachibana Tomoku!"
This was a reminder for him to treat her as gently as he would Tachibana Tomoku tonight, and to listen to her. Out of options, Shirakawa Sawahei resigned himself to pretending to sleep, thinking he could explain to the Little Arrogant the next day that he was already asleep.
"I heard you're short a bed here, so I came to bring one."
