Chapter 595: Ino Takes the Blame
The Fire Temple was not close to Konoha. Even for the incredibly fast giant clay bird, the journey took until late at night.
It was pitch black, and many things were hard to see clearly.
The old monks' eyesight was not good. They pointed at the sky one by one, asking who this enemy was.
The ninja had better eyesight. Faced with their employers' questions, they gave their own answers. It seemed to be a Konoha ninja. What was their name? We guess, probably, perhaps, is there a possibility that this ninja is called Ino Yamanaka?
Sasuke's eyesight was even better.
From hundreds of meters away, he could see the blonde, midriff-baring figure.
Unlike the other ninja who could only see a blurry figure, he could also see the face clearly.
"How is that possible? What is Ino doing here?" Sasuke was bewildered. Was Konoha going to annihilate the Fire Temple? Or was it some other mission?
He didn't think much of the giant clay bird under "Ino's" feet. She has the Rinnegan and Susanoo. How difficult would it be to mold a clay bird?
"That's not Ino," Kurotsuchi said with absolute certainty.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
Sasuke's mind was full of question marks. He didn't know how this woman beside him had made that judgment.
The crimson light from his Sharingan was seen by Deidara. Deidara immediately confirmed his target. You are Sasuke Uchiha? I will definitely kill you today!
He laughed a little crazily, and with a flick of his hands, a large number of small, spider-like clay bombs drifted down like snowflakes.
Abbot Chiriku didn't know what this move was, but he knew that his temple needed to activate its defenses.
This best friend of Asuma shouted, "All monks, activate the Sealing Iron Wall! Follow me to protect the Dharma and eliminate the demon!"
The ninja monks were well-trained and coordinated extremely skillfully. They had probably practiced this a lot. As for who the imaginary enemy was? That was hard to say.
The gates of the Fire Temple slammed shut. The expressions of the stone statues at the entrance were ferocious. As the ninja monks poured their chakra into the sealing barrier, a light golden screen of light instantly enveloped the entire Fire Temple.
Deidara saw this and frowned slightly. He formed a hand seal with one hand. "Katsu!"
In the next second, the explosions from the clay spiders enveloped the Fire Temple, but they were all blocked by the Sealing Iron Wall.
Deidara laughed very happily. "The defense is not bad. I'm getting a little excited. Let me show you my art!"
The next day, when she returned to Konoha and learned that "she" had bombed the Fire Temple, Ino's mood was one of utter collapse.
Fortunately, I didn't go to that different dimension with Amado. If I had, by the time I came back, would the capital of the Land of Fire also have been bombed by "me"?
What is going on? I've been wronged!
When she had been wreaking havoc on the other temples before, she had deliberately avoided the Fire Temple precisely to not cause too much trouble. She had never expected that the Fire Temple would still not escape this Buddhist catastrophe.
She also heard that Kazuma had a son, and this son had come to the village to find his father's murderer. She felt that the world was full of malice towards her. The blame was piling up, one after another, all at once.
Deidara had broken through the Fire Temple's Sealing Iron Wall with continuous "C3" attacks, and had then been forced back by the combined efforts of Sasuke and Kurotsuchi. Sasuke's lightning style was a strong counter to him, and he didn't want to fight Kurotsuchi either. He felt constrained, so he just ran away in the end.
He ran away, but the Fire Temple was in for a disaster.
A large number of ordinary monks were injured by the C3 explosions. The Fire Temple was in ruins.
Who was responsible? Ino Yamanaka of Konoha Village!
To highlight their own weakness, a group of monks, supporting each other, came to Konoha Village. Their robes were full of holes, and their faces were covered in soot that they hadn't even wiped off, as if they had just crawled out of a coal mine.
"You of Konoha must give the Fire Temple an explanation!" The guest prefect of the Fire Temple stood in the Hokage's office in Konoha, berating them sternly, his eyes fixed on Ino.
Ino really didn't like the feeling of being blamed. She quickly tried to pass the buck. "Don't look at me like that. I've said it many times. The one who bombed your Fire Temple was Deidara. He uses the Hidden Stone's clay secret technique. This is known throughout the ninja world. I don't know this secret technique."
The guest prefect pressed on, "Then why did this Deidara you speak of disguise himself as you?"
Ino: "..."
I'm so speechless! Because we're siblings from different parents? Because I often impersonate him, so the will of the world decided to do the same to me?
She said with a hint of guilt, "Can't you see? It's to sow discord between Konoha and the Fire Temple. If I wanted to deal with your Fire Temple, would I need to—"
Tsunade quickly elbowed her. Why are you saying what's on your mind?
Tsunade coughed. "I believe our village's Sasuke Uchiha has already made things clear to Abbot Chiriku. The matter of Deidara impersonating Ino is very clear. There's nothing to question."
"Abbot Chiriku is unconscious. Sasuke Uchiha is a ninja from your Konoha. His words mean nothing. You of Konoha must give us an explanation!"
The Fire Temple was clearly trying to extort them this time. I'm weak, so I'm right. You of Konoha are powerful, but you can't just kill us all, can you?
As Deidara's companion, Sora, who had entered the village with him, also came into the sights of the Konoha high-ups.
This young ninja monk had not returned to the Fire Temple, but had disappeared.
The Fire Temple said that Konoha's Ino Yamanaka had bombed their temple. Konoha said that the Fire Temple's ninja monk, Sora, had come to the village late at night with ill intentions.
Anyway, it was just a lot of bickering.
Minato was young, after all, and was a bit thin-skinned. It didn't matter. Koharu and Homura, who had been deeply influenced by the Third Hokage, were both experts at bickering. They argued back and forth until they had driven the guest prefect of the Fire Temple away.
"What's the deal with that young ninja monk?" Minato asked the others.
Asuma had some say in this matter. He said, "I know that young ninja monk's father. He was a member of the former Twelve Guardian Ninja, a typical radical... It's probably that the child heard some rumors from somewhere and came to Konoha late at night."
Kazuma's past record was brought out again. This man was indeed very hostile to Konoha. Minato calculated the time. This Kazuma should have been killed during Jiraiya's time as Hokage. There was nothing to say. It was normal to kill someone so hostile to Konoha.
Sora's matter was put on hold and left to the Fire Temple to deal with.
The thankless task of capturing Deidara was also left to the Fire Temple. The Fire Temple wanted Ino to take the blame, but she just ignored it.
A bunch of bald donkeys want to order me around? You should be burning incense that I didn't kill you.
Konoha had no intention of helping the Fire Temple either. Deidara bombed your temple, not Konoha. Why should we send ninja to capture him?
Solve it yourselves.
