Chapter 948 - Chapter 949: Hello Uncle

With the matter basically settled, Raditz did not dare resist and could only obediently follow his brother.

Fortunately, with his brother present, he did not have to worry about the others suddenly turning hostile and killing him.

As promised earlier, after everything was dealt with, Goku went to take a photo with the farmer. The farmer naturally did not want to miss this opportunity, and then took individual photos with Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, and Ethan, gaining some material to brag about later.

The cheerful farmer waved goodbye to Ethan and the others. As for the guy who might have been an alien, he had completely forgotten about him.

Raditz glanced once more at the cheerful, weak trash, then fixed his gaze on his brother. Kakarot seemed to be quite famous on this planet.

Looking left and right, Raditz spent the whole journey observing these people. Unfortunately, his scouter had been taken away, so he could only judge by sight and experience.

While flying, he was also able to observe the situation on the ground.

In Raditz's eyes, Earth was a good habitable planet, with an excellent environment and low gravity, making it very suitable to be developed into a resort planet. A planet like this could sell for a good price.

However, there were quite a few intelligent life forms on this planet, and clearing them out would probably be a troublesome job.

Especially after entering the West City area, Raditz realized there were far more life forms on this planet than he had expected. However, after observing for a while, he came to another conclusion. They were all trash!

Even without a scouter, he could tell how weak those people were. He felt that such weak life forms were just wasting resources by staying alive.

Unfortunately, he had to behave himself and could not show any negative thoughts. Although his own brother was keeping an eye on him and he did not have to worry about being killed, he could sense that if he really did anything, his brother would not show him any mercy either.

"We're here!"

Goku called out to Raditz, who was still looking around, and was the first to descend.

Because of the publicity over the past few years, the residents of West City were no longer surprised by humans being able to fly, and some even waved at Goku in the sky.

Goku had also grown used to this kind of life. Being good-natured, he warmly greeted neighbors and acquaintances, waving back as he landed in his own yard.

The residence Bulma had built for Goku had a massive martial arts dojo in the front. Behind the dojo was an area designed like a park, where Goku's personal house and training room were located.

Furthermore, this area that looked like a large park was not just for Goku's family. Krillin and the others also had their own residences scattered throughout the area. This way, everyone kept their own private space while still being able to visit each other whenever they wanted.

Before they had even landed, Chi-Chi, who had sensed their return long ago, was already outside waiting. Holding Gohan, she naturally noticed the extra person, but this person gave her a bad feeling, so she looked at her husband with a questioning gaze.

"This is Raditz... well, he should be my older brother."

"What?"

"This is my wife and child."

Since Raditz posed no threat, Goku had nothing to hide and took the opportunity to introduce him to his family.

"Wife and child?"

Raditz truly had not expected that his brother not only had a wife, but even had a child this old already.

He turned his head to look at the child. In terms of appearance, he was indeed very similar to Kakarot, but that was not what he was focused on.

"Where's his tail?"

As soon as Chi-Chi heard Raditz ask about the tail, together with the tail wrapped around his waist, she already believed that this person really was a Saiyan.

But Goku's brother? Wouldn't that make him Gohan's uncle?

"The tail causes too much trouble, so I asked Kami to use magic to cut it off. That way, it won't grow back."

"It won't grow back..."

Raditz was speechless. For Saiyans, whose main means of survival was combat, the tail, which allowed them to transform into a Great Ape and increase their power level tenfold, was incredibly important. Yet his brother did not value it at all, even cutting off his own son's tail and using strange methods to prevent it from growing back.

"What a foolish thing to do."

He had already explained the great use of transforming into a Great Ape. He had thought Kakarot would regret it after learning that, right?

But that was not the case. He found that his brother did not care at all.

"That kind of uncontrollable power is useless no matter how strong it is."

"Uncontrollable?"

Only then did Raditz understand why Kakarot disliked the Great Ape transformation. He had lost his Saiyan memories and did not know that one could maintain sanity after transforming.

"Transforming into a Great Ape does not make you lose your mind. At most, it makes you more excited. With proper training, you can completely control that power."

"So that's how it is!"

He had thought Kakarot would finally regret it, but he still did not. It seemed Kakarot genuinely had no interest in the Great Ape transformation.

Raditz did not know that Goku had accidentally killed his grandfather when he transformed into a Great Ape as a child, which was why he strongly disliked the Great Ape transformation.

As for power, he already possessed considerable strength and was still working hard to improve and increase his own power. Even if he encountered a situation where his power level was not enough and he had to fight desperately, he still had better techniques like the Kaio-ken to choose from.

Compared to a transformation that could only be used in specific conditions like a full moon, the Kaio-ken was more practical.

While Raditz was still arguing with Goku about whether the tail was useful or not, Ethan was discussing the scouter in front of him with Bulma.

"I hope you can figure out all the technology inside it. Also, be careful, this thing should still be syncing various bits of information. You'd better turn it off first."

"I know. Actually, I've pretty much figured it out on the way back." Bulma suddenly looked at Ethan in confusion. "Why do you want to study this? It's nothing special."

In Bulma's opinion, this scouter was nothing special, and the technology was not particularly advanced. With just a little tinkering, she could already tell she could easily make something similar.

Even setting herself aside, the watches Ethan had modified were not functionally inferior to this scouter, except that they could not detect a creature's power level.

"I need to know the power level standard Frieza and his group use."

Without knowing that number, Ethan could only judge based on feeling and speculation, which undoubtedly made him uncomfortable, because he preferred to hold back until he was stronger than his opponent before making a move.

If he had a scouter and knew the exact power level numbers, he could unleash his strongest moves with full confidence, making sure his power level was sufficient before solving the problem in one go.

"So that's it. You want to confirm whether your power is enough."

"Yes."

"That's easy, just leave it to me." Bulma thumped her chest in assurance. Then Ethan reminded her that the single-person scouters used by Frieza and his group did not have a high detection limit. If any of them unleashed their full energy, the scouter would explode.

Therefore, he hoped Bulma would first record the technology, determine the energy standard, and then build a brand-new type of scouter that could handle sufficiently large amounts of data without exploding.

"That's not hard either!"

Listening to Ethan's request, Bulma thought for a moment and already had a plan. These were small issues that were easy to solve. She felt she could build a new scouter in less than three days.

"Compared to that, how are you planning to deal with that person?"

"I'll keep an eye on him. He can't do anything."

The power gap was too large. Even if Raditz wanted to take someone hostage, Ethan and the others could snatch the hostage back before Raditz could even react, then beat him until he could not take care of himself.

Raditz had probably thought of this too. After all, Ethan had been able to take his scouter before he could react, so rescuing a hostage would not be difficult either.

Up to now, he had been behaving very honestly.

At Ethan's request, Raditz even handed over his battle armor. Although he looked unhappy, he did not refuse.

After handing the full set of battle armor to Bulma for research, everyone finally started eating dinner. They also finally understood where Goku's bottomless appetite came from. Raditz was not being polite at all.

After dinner, Goku routinely went to train. When Raditz wanted to see his true strength, Ethan knew things were about to get interesting.

"The scouter shows that you have a power level of a full eight thousand. I'd really like to see whether the scouter is malfunctioning."

Goku did not understand what a power level of eight thousand meant. He did not care much about it and just advised Raditz not to enter the gravity chamber with him.

"You'd better watch from the room next door."

"What's wrong?"

"Because the gravity environment I'm going to use is a bit dangerous for you."

"What?"

Raditz was very annoyed. He had been looked down on more than once. He really wanted to tell his brother, your big brother is not that weak!

However, that dark-skinned woman grabbed his shoulder and dragged him into the room next door. He had no room to resist at all.

"Damn it!"

As a powerful Saiyan warrior, being looked down on again and again made Raditz furious. Helplessly, since the situation was not in his favor, he could only do as they said.

"I'll just watch and see what you're trying to do."

The large display screen in front of him allowed him to clearly see everything happening next door. There was also a lot of data on the screen. Although he could not understand Earth's writing, someone beside him explained it to him.

"That's the gravity chamber. The gravity multiplier Goku and Ethan are currently using is something none of us can withstand. If you went in, you would die instantly."

"Gravity chamber? High-gravity environment?" Raditz did not think much of it, because the gravity on this planet was too low. Planet Vegeta's gravity was at least ten times that of this planet. "I thought it was something serious. How much higher is the gravity in that room than outside? Five times? Ten times?"

"One hundred times!"

(To be continued.)

Working on a book that I feel is quite unique? It's not fanfiction, but it has elements of fanfiction. I've posted it and would appreciate it if you could check it out and see if it's something you'd like to follow.
