The Stormcaller woman glared at Kael and before any of the other leaders could react or do anything about it—
She disappeared, leaving all the members of the 'hunting party' alone.
For a moment, nobody moved.
Not the hunters.
Not the hunted.
Even the strong winds felt quieter, as if nature itself was surprised by what just happened and couldn't move like it was supposed to.
Kael stood at the frontline of his army with a solemn look on his face, his eyes remained on the empty space where the Stormcaller woman once was and he clenched his fists.
He… wasn't expecting this…
And it wasn't just him, from the other Stormcallers' faces, it was clear that they weren't expecting it either. They didn't even know about the existence of the teleportation crystal, let alone her plan of abandoning them if things took a wrong turn.
Kael was surprised too.
