Eleanore shot him a look, her cheeks warming slightly, while Stella's eyebrows shot up with immediate, delighted interest. "Oh? Something you two want to share as well?"
"Not yet," Eleanore said quickly, though she couldn't quite keep the smile off her face. "But maybe. Eventually."
"Well, when you do," Stella said, reaching over to squeeze her hand, "our children can grow up as menaces together. It seems only fitting, given how our lives have gone so far."
"Menaces," Hael repeated, mock-solemn. "I'll start preparing myself now."
"You'll need the head start," Stella said sweetly, and the table dissolved into laughter again.
