Chapter 14 - Epilogue: Trancending

-------------

(A/N: Okay, so basically, this is a cultivation novel idea I have. I've made the power system and the starting volumes of plot....Of course, I don't know when I'll write it. It might even take a decade XD.)

Title: Undecided

Description: Undecided

Premise: Mystery

…

..

.

"Good job. You did it."

In the deepest void, where only the infinite nothingness is present, a person appeared.

Calling him a person is wrong. No being that can be described as 'person' could ever appear in the nothingness that exists between multiverses.

"Confused, aren't you?"

That, he is.

After reaching transcendence and escaping from his local Multiverse and into the wider Omniverse, Agnostus never expected to directly encounter another individual.

Given that there's something beyond the multiverse, it's to be expected for there to be other people who could reach this 'something'.

However, to directly stumble upon one just as he reached transcendence?

Coincidence? No-

Agnostus' whole existence tensed, all concepts operating at full capacity in preparation for an attack.

Perhaps it's a ploy. Spawn camping newly transcended beings to kill them or absorb them-

"It's good you didn't attack outright. Otherwise, I'd have to teach you a lesson."

The being opposite of him deadpanned at him.

"And who are you?"

He didn't seem hostile. Nonetheless, Agnostus remained cautious.

"You can call me AAA. Or simply Adam for short."

'Adam' gave him a light, gentlemanly bow.

Silver hair, bright blue eyes, dark clothing, and an expectedly handsome visage.

In short, nothing like what Agnostus would have imagined meeting in the void between multiverses.

"…I was expecting to meet Eldritch beings."

Agnostus truthfully conveyed his thoughts to 'Adam'.

"Oh, those also exist." The silver-haired boy chuckled. "But don't worry, the ones walking through the Omniverse are fairly weak compared to the likes of H.P. Lovecraft."

Agnostus froze at his words.

Not because he's surprised that Eldritch beings roam the Omniverse, but because-

"You-"

"Yes."

Adam smiled at Agnostus.

"…I see."

Most of Agnostus' vigilance disappeared at this moment. He didn't fully let his guard down, but he stopped being ready to attack at any time.

-After all, he never imagined he would meet a fellow 'countryman' here.

…

..

.

"Being transcendent is lonely."

The silver-haired boy stepped on the void with a casual pace. Though he seemed to just be walking- it's anything but that.

With every step, they passed a multiverse's worth of distance.

At first, Agnostus struggled to keep up, but after observing for a while- he learned and got used to such a method.

"Most people that reach our realms don't have loved ones or people they can call 'comrades'."

Adam continued speaking in a tone as though he was narrating a story.

Along the way, they passed through countless multiverses and omegaverse-level structures.

Agnostus looked on and on, peeking briefly into every single one. He witnessed countless worlds and countless sights.

Multiverses with magic, superpowers, psychics, gods, and even worlds with purely technology….

"Most fall into two broad categories: Either they couldn't make the people they care about transcend too, or….They just don't have any people they care about."

With his explanation, they passed another eldritch being- a small, dotted being looking similar to the singularity of a black hole, with countless white, dark, and glitching tentacles and limbs growing out of it. Even though it is described as 'small', its size was the size of an average universe.

Despite that, this eldritch being ignored them like the rest of such beings that they had encountered on their journey.

Snap

Adam snapped his fingers, and the 'relatively' small Eldritch being disappeared- erased from existence.

"Almost all such beings have no consciousness; they only rely on instincts and hunger." The silver-haired boy shook his head as he explained to the person behind him. "Honestly, it's good they randomly spawn into existence occasionally. They're a good snack."

The being then lightly patted his belly, as if savoring the 'meal'.

"Does it really taste good?"

Agnostus looked at the place it disappeared, and then at Adam. His mind filled with heavy doubts.

As someone who started on the path of Devouring, he can confidently say that he has a pretty good taste.

However, that thing….No matter how one looked at it, the taste would only be 'chaos' and 'insanity', right?

"Yes." The being who casually ate an Eldritch being nodded with unprecedented confidence. "It tastes a bit like chicken coated with liquified universe sauce, and with a little black hole inside that pops in your mouth."

"…That does sound tasty."

Agnostus had a weird expression on his face as he imagined the taste.

Because if that's how it truly tasted, then….It's actually a pretty good snack!

…

..

.

"Because I know you are definitely curious about this:"

As they neared the heart of the Omniverse, Adam took the initiative to speak up again:

"Hm?"

In his mind, Agnostus thought: This guy is really random. However, he also seems to have very abundant humanity

'Is this how beings at this realms retain 'humanity' with such a vast passage of time?'

If that is indeed the case, maybe he should try it too?

"Yes, there are realms beyond 'Transcendence'."

Agnostus' head snapped towards Adam.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" The silver-haired man stared back at him with an 'Are you an idiot' look. "Isn't it obvious? You can go higher. Though of course, these 'realms' aren't cultivation realms."

"Isn't that also pretty obvious?"

Agnostus mimicked his look and stared back at him.

"Pfff." The silver-haired being covered his mouth with his hand. "True. It's the infinite omniverse. There's no need to even say it."

"Anyways…"

The silver-haired man's expression abruptly turned neutral. He raised his hand, and a book appeared out of nowhere.

It was a worn-out notebook, with a purple cover and cosmic-like star dots embellishing it.

Looking at it, Agnostus had a feeling-

"….Is that necessary?"

"No, it's not. But it feels better this way."

Agnostus' lips twitched; however, he said nothing. Instead, he allowed this random being to continue:

"Primordial: " He raised his book and pretended to read through it. "Embody the primal chaos before creation."

Agnostus raised his hand like a student-

"No, I won't tell you how to reach it. You should figure that out yourself."

"Tch."

Perhaps he will have to observe a birthing multiverse to understand primal Chaos so deeply? To Agnostus, this seems like a good way. However, it is too random.

"Infinite Sovereign: Transcend dimensions and rule over infinite timelines and possibilities."

Transcend dimensions? Easier said than done.

"Omniversal Existence: Match infinity itself."

How does one comprehend and match infinity? A multiverse is said to be infinite too; however, he has already gone beyond it, hasn't he?

"Boundless Incarnation: Shatter the ceiling above Omniversal Existence. There'salways more."

Understand infinity, match infinity, and surpass infinity. Then move into greater infinity.

"Creator: Wield the authority to create all."

Shape and create infinity? From a higher point, creating a lower point is naturally easier.

"Existence Singularity: Collapse into the singular point from which all of creation flows."

Become everything? No, that's not it. Better is: Make everything be able to flow through you.

"Absolute Nihility: Finality. Above the abode of the great ones. True nothingness."

Snap

The sound of a book/notebook shutting echoed throughout the surrounding local multiverses. It snapped him out of his daze.

"That's about it. Now, gaze there."

The being extended his hand, gesturing towards the heart of the Omniverse, which they had reached at some unknown point.

"That's the headquarters of the 'Asterios Guild'. The most powerful and influential entity in this Omniverse."

Agnostus looked at the scene in front of him. Even though he should have been speechless, his thoughts in a daze, he still opened his mouth and asked:

"And what's your rank?"

"Of course, I'm its Founder."

'Adam' smiled.
