From the top of the watch tower, I looked down at my subordinates, their numbers had doubled but still, there was this feeling of unease that had plagued me since the day I saw that tunnel.
"Do the scouts have anything to report?" I asked the uniformed man who stood behind me, he grumbled quietly before he stepped forward and answered.
"Nothing yet 'sir'." annoyance faintly present in his words, I didn't react as I kept my eyes focused on the forest, He turned around, mumbling incoherently as he walked out of the space and joined some of his colleagues who stood waiting for him.
