"Damn you!" Enel, in his Raijin form, wielded his golden trident and lunged at Rosen in a violent stab. Surging with terrifying lightning, he looked no different from the gods of legend—only more savage.
"Shigan: Fist Burst!" Rosen calmly evaded. He didn't have to dodge, but doing so let him use Moonwalk to close the distance.
He circled behind Enel. Although Enel sensed it and tried to dodge, Rosen's strike had already arrived.
Enel's fastest reaction was to block with his trident. Boom! Rosen's punch crashed against it, sending Enel flying under the force of the blow.
Rosen immediately followed up—Shigan: Blade Torrent! His Sand Sword unleashed a flurry of strikes, overwhelming the air with sword shadows. Enraged, Enel erupted with bolts of lightning, dispersing the attack.
But Rosen, once in close range, wasn't about to let him get away again. If Enel turned into lightning and escaped now, it'd be hard to find another chance like this.
"Hell Bullet Barrage!" Rosen fired 33 deadly sand bullets. His right hand was originally prepared to unleash his Wither ability, but in the end, he used only Armament Haki.
Boom boom boom!
Lightning clashed with sand bullets in midair, creating massive explosions visible from miles away—the power was overwhelming.
The shockwaves from the aerial blasts bent trees across Upper Yard, uprooting weaker ones entirely and flinging them skyward.
"Logia battles really are insane," Hathaway muttered as hurricane winds swept across the island.
"Boss is getting stronger and stronger," said Daz Bones with a hint of frustration. Though he'd improved too, Rosen had pulled even further ahead. His life had been saved through Rosen's great efforts—he had to prove himself worthy.
"What the hell is this? The end of the world?" Wiper and Gan Fall had just landed on the Holy Land when they saw the apocalyptic scene unfolding before them.
It seemed Enel was fighting a powerful opponent. Judging by the deafening roars of thunder, he wasn't winning.
But who was he fighting?
"Wiper, the Blue Sea people are fighting the priests on the eastern shore!" Kamakiri reported.
Wiper thought for a moment and quickly made a decision. "This is our chance. Enel's facing a powerful enemy. Let's take out his minions first and wait for the right moment. This could be how we kill him. Tell the warriors to move."
"What about the Blue Sea people?"
"Forget them. If they get in the way, kill them too," Wiper said coldly.
To them, the Blue Sea people were no better than invaders—just like the Sky Islanders who had stolen their home. None of them were allies.
"Understood."
"Enel... and the Blue Sea people?" With his flying horse, Gan Fall arrived quickly. Seeing survivors from the Divine Guard, he was momentarily overwhelmed. He had searched for his old subordinates for so long.
But the Holy Land was hard to set foot on. Each time he tried, he nearly died.
If Enel hadn't lost interest in an old man like him—and if Gan Fall hadn't known the terrain well—he'd have died long ago while being hunted.
Now, sensing the enormous disturbance, he couldn't stay hidden any longer. A foreboding feeling crept through his chest.
"Your Holiness!" A shipwright, recognizing him, was overcome with emotion. Gan Fall might no longer be "God," but under his rule, the country had been peaceful and kind.
"Your Holiness, Enel is going to destroy Skypiea!" one worker shouted. Even though Gan Fall was no longer their ruler, to them, he still was—he had been forcefully overthrown by sheer power.
"What?! Has he gone mad? This is his own kingdom now!" Gan Fall's face twisted in shock.
"He built the Ark to escape somewhere else. To him, we're nothing but tools. We can't let this happen!" a burly man shouted in frustration.
But faced with Enel's overwhelming lightning, they were powerless. All they could do was watch.
"Whoever you are, please stay back and don't interfere with our Boss's battle." Daz Bones stepped forward when he saw the newcomers growing restless after the old man arrived.
"You're from the Blue Sea?" Gan Fall noted that Daz didn't have wings like Sky Islanders.
"Anyone who moves... dies," Daz said flatly. He didn't care who they were—Enel's followers or otherwise—if anyone made a wrong move now, he would strike.
"You arrogant Blue—" One Sky Islander grew furious at Daz's words and stepped forward, but immediately a thin, sharp blade pressed against his neck, drawing blood.
Had he taken even a few steps more, that nearly invisible blade would have pierced his throat. He had no idea how it happened and froze on the spot.
Even Gan Fall hadn't noticed—the Blue Sea person had already drawn their sword, and it was a bizarre, unfamiliar weapon.
"Stand down," Gan Fall said. He didn't want an unnecessary conflict with the Blue Sea people. At this moment, they were fighting Enel, and that worked in their favor.
"Damn Blue Sea people... mocking God again and again—I'll grant you dea—ugh!" Enel's words were cut off. A wave of sand blurred his vision, disrupting his Observation Haki.
Observation Haki was difficult to control when enraged. A calm mind was essential to use it well.
With Enel's vision disturbed by the sand, Rosen struck—one punch to the abdomen sent him crashing from the clouds. The impact scattered a large chunk of thunderclouds in the sky.
Enel coughed blood as he plummeted like a wounded bird. Hathaway prepared to strike but was stopped by Rosen.
"No need," Rosen said.
Hathaway frowned. She could have finished Enel off right there. Why stop her? But trusting Rosen's judgment, she held back.
"Cough... Are you looking down on me?" Enel landed hard, his muscles torn, his skin cracked in several places. He was shaken—and humiliated by Rosen's comment.
"Logia powers are strong—but I have them too. That's why you can't beat me," Rosen said calmly. This elemental advantage made him nearly unbeatable. But Enel wouldn't be easy to finish off either.
And Raigo still needed attention.
"You think this is enough to beat me? Laughable. Let's see if you survive the ultimate thunderburst. Be destroyed—Raigo!" Enel's expression turned manic. A divine lightning pillar shot into the storm clouds.
The clouds began to shift violently, condensing into a massive spherical formation, the size of an island, flickering with chaotic lightning.
"I underestimated you. I didn't expect you to complete Raigo under these conditions," Rosen said, face darkening.
Raigo gathered all the thunderclouds and lightning into one sphere, then dropped it for a cataclysmic explosion. Rosen wasn't sure his Logia body could withstand that.
In battle, you had to consider every risk.
"What is that?!" Hathaway stared at the massive lightning orb forming above them. It could cover two islands. The pressure was immense—and it was fully formed.
"Die—every last one of you! Yahahaha…" Enel laughed triumphantly, transforming into lightning and returning to the Ark, which slowly rose and began moving aside.
"Sand Giant!" Rosen landed. The powers of the Suna Suna no Mi surged wildly. The entire island of Upper Yard began to quake.
The ground cracked, and starting from Rosen's position, the island's surface turned into sand, all of it rushing toward him.
A giant made of golden sand formed in moments. Though Upper Yard wasn't massive, the sheer volume of sand created from its surface was overwhelming.
A towering sand giant over 100 meters tall rose from a reclining position and stood upright—so tall it seemed to reach the clouds.
