?!
What did this girl just say right now?! Zapp hoped he wasn't imagined it but Ink had to say it again which drives him up the wall.
"Let's fight, Mister Klaus!" Ink said happily.
She wants to fight Klaus?
THE FLYING FUCK IS THIS?! Zapp thought now gritting his teeth.
Klaus blinked, never had someone to ask him for a fight before. So, Klaus being Klaus, he is very curious and willing to hear her out, "For what reason, Ink?" He asked, wanting to know the young woman's reasons.
"Well I heard form Rust that you're strong and super scary and I have feeling that you're super-duper strong!" Ink explained cheerfully. "And now I get to see you in possible. You're so awesome and you are really super-duper strong so we gotta fight!"
"Wait-huh?!" Rust exclaimed. If Navarro is here right now, he would be asking what the fuck is wrong with them both.
Wha-wha-WHAT?! Leonardo just stared at Ink in disbelief with his jaw dropped. What kind of reasoning is that?!
"How is that good reason?!" He cried.
Indeed. Zed thought, looking at Ink with shock. He wondered what Rust said that made Ink so eager to fight Klaus Von Reinherz of all people.
Steven can't help but laugh at the absurdity of this. These kids are interesting. Steven thought.
And where was Chain in all this? Chain was invisible and she watched the whole thing ever since Ink and Rust agreed to follow to their headquarters. She was so shocked to hear Ink's request to fight Ink that she is now visible right now without realizing it.
"OI BRAT! The hell did you said about our Chief?!" Zapp confronted Rust, interrogating him for answers!
Rust felt he is in the hot seat as he can't believe his ears as well. But then again...he wasn't surprised at all since this is Ink, he's talking about. With Ink, she always want to fight strong people whether they're friends or enemies. And so...he must explain, "Uh...well...I kinda explain a few things about Klaus and you guys to my friends?" Rust chuckled a bit. "Nothing bad, you know." Except for the fact, that he said to his team that Klaus is scarier than a demon. Yeah, no way in the hell, he's going to say that. Nope, no way.
"SO WHAT DID YOU SAID ABOUT HIM?!" Zapp demanded.
"I just said that he's the boss of Libra and well...Ink wanted to fight him since he is really the boss, you know?! And he means business and he doesn't need to fight because he's really strong!" Rust stammered.
"THE HELL DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!" Zapp yelled.
"I'm just sayin, okay?!" Rust shouted. "ALSO WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!"
"I'M YELLING BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW IF YOUR GIRLFIREND IS ALRIGHT UPSTAIRS!" Zapp points to his own head frantically tp point out wondering if Ink is sane.
"SHE AIN'T MY GIRLFRIEND, JACKASS! SHE'S MY LEADER OF MY FRACTION! SHE'S MY BOSS!" Rust retorted as his cheeks are red, shocked to hear that Zapp referred Ink as his girlfriend.
"Anyway! I don't think it's a good idea." Leonardo can't blame Ink and Rust. People had a lot of things to say about Klaus whether it's bad and good, but everyone can agree on, that Klaus is super strong. Maybe that's why Ink want to fight him. "I don't think it's a good idea at all." Leonardo shaking his head.
"I am honored that you think so highly of me, Ink. But I must decline." Klaus held up his hand as he refused politely.
"Huh?" Ink widen his eyes. "B-but why?!" She cried.
Because you're going to die if you did. Leo answered in thought as he is seriously worried for Ink's well-being or rather her state of mind, right now.
"I only fight for humanity and for the world and not to mention, I wouldn't bear to hurt a child." Klaus said sadly. "I might seriously hurt you." He said very worried.
"Yeah but still, it's for fun! No life and death kind of thing!" Ink pleaded.
For fun? Zed asked. People fight for fun? Is that why?! She fights for fun?! This is unheard of!
"Not to mention, I'm happy that Rust wants to join you guys but...I want to know if he is going to be look after. It's leader to leader, mister Klaus! I want to know Rust is safe with you guys. So that's what I want to challenge you to a fight for him!" Ink explained. Rust is surprised at hearing at this.
Gilbert only chuckled at this. What an interesting young miss.
So that's why? Steven hummed. If anything, that would make sense. Based on what he heard from Zed about what happened last night. His friends must care about him a lot.
"And for fun!" Ink exclaimed.
And that too.
Klaus just stared at Ink's eyes of determination and will with his green eyes. After hearing that, there is no way to refuse a strong-willed girl's request, it was something Klaus found admirable.
"Very well, Ink." He stands up, "I accept your challenge!"
"WHAT?!" Rust, Zed, Zapp, and Leo yelled. Steven and Chain raised brows.
"REALLY?! AWESOME!" Ink said happily.
"Chief, you can't be serious! I mean! Look at her!" Zapp pointed at Ink's innocent face with her grey eyes shone brightly like the stars as if today is Christmas! Honestly, is this the face of a demon child?
"I agreed, Mr. Klaus. This is too dangerous." Zed speaks up.
"I understand your concern, Zapp and Zed." Klaus spoke, "But Ink's declaration for Rust's sake and her determination is something I can't ignore!" Klaus said firmly as he admired that character. "I must fight her with my will as well!"
"Man... you're hopeless..." Zapp slumped his shoulders.
"So, where we're going to fight?" Ink asked eagerly, clasping her hands.
"We have a room for our training. It's downstairs." Steven mentioned. Ink nodded, "Awesome! Let's go!"
"Uh...Ink." Rust getting her attention as he noticed something amiss.
"Yeah?"
"What about your sword?"
"Sword?" Ink repeated then took a short pause, "OH RIGHT! I FORGOT!"
Leo and Zapp almost tripped themselves. Honestly, how do you forget your weapon?! ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE ASKING FOR A FIGHT?!
"We can schedule another time if you like." Klaus suggested to which Ink shakes her head, "No way! h I going to bring it over here...uhh...do you have a roof or uh balcony?"
Two minutes later...
"Okay..." Ink breathes and hold out her hand, "Wyvern." She speaks.
Silence.
Only the wind is blowing.
"Are you serious?" Zapp questioned. Libra is standing behind while Rust is by her side, rubbing his neck.
"It's coming, don't worry!" Ink assured.
"Hold on, you can summon your sword?" Leo asked as he begins to realize. Honestly, he just realized this.
"Uh-huh." Ink answered.
"Just by calling it?" Zed asked.
"Yes!"
"And it can come over to you with no problem?" Steven questioned.
"Yep." Ink answered before shaking her hand and calls out again, "Wyvern."
"Well, where is it?! Huh? Cuz I don't see it coming." Zapp asked, tapping his foot against on the floor to which Chain steps on his foot hard. "OW! DAMN YOU! YOU SHE-Bitch! WATCH IT!"
"It's coming, don't worry!" Ink smiled before sighing," It's just...really hard. Sometimes...Wyvern doesn't listen to me."
"Wait...so the sword is alive?" Leo asked.
"Not sure. I think it is." Ink answered then she sighs. "Wyvern..."
What kind of answer is that? Everyone thought except for Klaus and Gilbert.
"Ink, I don't think we really need to do this-" But before Rust tries to persuade her that battle with Klaus isn't that much of a big deal and like Klaus said, they can do it another time. Ink is tired of waiting for Wyvern, so she shouts to the sky with a stomp on the floor.
"WYVERN! GET YOUR STINK-" Then a huge whoosh of wind, a blur of blue came this way from the skies overhead. Bursting through from the clouds and then-
POW!
The sword's spiky pommel hits her straight on the forehead, making her fall to the floor on her back. It made everyone jumped and dropped their jaws (except for Klaus as he widens his eyes at sudden action), they all yelled in surprise. Rust ran over to her at her side, "INK! Holy crap! Are ya okay? Talk to me!" The sword is still spinning in the air before it embedded itself into the roof floor.
"THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Zapp yelled, pointing at the otherworldly sword. Leo can't help but use his All-Seeing God Eyes to see what's up with it. The otherworldly azure sword had a skull spilt in two between the hilt and the blade, if Leo knew, it was skull of a dragon. Despite being spilt in two, Leo felt like the sword is looking at him as well. He gulped as he takes a step back.
Yup, that's no normal sword. If Ink says that she and Rust are demons, then it has to be a demon weapon, right?! He's going to tell the group after this supposed fight.
"Ink...are you alright?!" Klaus asked, now worried for his soon-to-be opponent as he goes to kneel at her side as well...
"Yep! I'm good!" Ink sits right back up as her forehead is bleeding.
"You're bleeding!" Leo cried.
"Don't worry! It happens!" Ink laughed.
"IT HAPPENS? THIS IS NORMAL?!" Leo thought.
"I am very concerned." Zed sweat dropped.
"Thank goodness, you're alright." Klaus said as he is now relived.
"How are you still calm?!" Zapp yelled.
"Whoo!" Ink got back up, wiped the blood from her forehead and dust her pants. "Don't worry! I'm good!" Just like Rust, she also has a healing factor but not how Rust heals his injuries. The bleeding has stop as she walks to her great sword, Wyvern. She pulls it out from the floor and lays it on her side.
"Alright! To the training room!" Ink smiled.
One minute later...
Ink did a few practice swings while Klaus was putting on some brass knuckles, given by Gilbert.
"Ink, are you sure ya wanna do this. I mean you don't have to..." Rust said before shaking his head with a sigh, "but I got a feeling you're going to do this anyway."
"Yep. I gotta fight Klaus so I can know how strong he is!" Ink explained.
"I can't believe they actually doing this." Zapp groaned. "What the hell are they both thinking?"
"I don't know...I think Klaus might go easy on her." Leo whispered. Zapp scoffed, "Hope so, no way he would go all out on some brat even if she's a demon!"
"I wonder what Ink's fighting style is." Zed mused.
"Hmmhmm.." Chain nods in agreement as she wants to see how this goes down.
"Huh...that reminds me." Steven lets out a cool air, "I heard that girl and her team take down a few dangerous gangs in the city."
"You're shitting me?" Zapp asked. "Cuz that's bullshit." He frowned.
"Nope." Steven said as he thought about it, "One time I heard they managed to beat a notorious serial killer fraction in New Jersey."
"I heard about that but that was them?! Ink and Rust?" Leo asked. "I heard about that! The local government is still looking for those guys after their whole gang is being dismantled! Wait. Don't tell me."
"Yep...for some reason, there are accounts of people being in costumes, but it is later revealed that the whole fraction was leaded by some Beyondains who left the city without being detected. Nobody knows how though." Steven sighed.
"Still...they're children. No child should fight against monsters like that." Zed is now worried for Rust and his friends. How did these children live or rather survive so long living in this city? Also, why would they go to New Jersey to fight some serial killer Beyondians! Aren't they worried about their own lives?!
"I understand your concerns but don't forget these kids aren't your typical kids." Steven stated firmly. Gilbert came over to the group to watch while serving the members drinks.
"Alright, good luck." Rust fist-bumped Ink as she grins, "Got it!" Then she takes her place and goes into a offensive position. Rust goes to the side where most of the Libra would be. Zapp looks over to the blond and shouts, "Oi brat! Hey!" He calls, "I'm talking to you."
Rust frowns as he already knows that Zapp is talking to him. "Yeah?" He didn't turn his head to look at him as he is now focusing on the fight between Ink and Klaus.
"Just letting you know; your girlfriend is going to lose." Zapp said.
This son of- Rust twitched an eye at him.
"Yeah well...she ain't going down easy!" Rust shouted, "And also! She ain't my girlfriend, so shut the hell up and watch!" He yelled.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, brat!" Zapp retorted smugly much to Leo and Zed's annoyance. "Says the guy who got chewed up by a shorty." Leo said.
"Shuddap, pubehead!"
"Shitty trash bag." Chain scoffed.
"Shuddap, she-bitch!" Zapp retorted.
Zed could only sigh. "Honestly..." and like Rust, he also focused on the fight, watching how Ink handled her own weapon, so open grip? It would make sense that great sword needs two hands to carry it. It looks like she knows how to use it. I wonder what the weight of it is. It must take a lot of strength to carry that. Zed thought.
Ink just laughs as she overhears their bickering.
"You have a good friend, Ink." Klaus said gently.
"So, do you, Mister Klaus!" Ink grinned. "Ready?!"
"As I will be. I will allow you first strike." Klaus got into defensive position, ready for the girl's attack.
"Got it!" Ink grips her sword as she raised it over her head, with her right leg forward and her left leg back. Then with her legs bent and her left foot off the floor, she launches herself at Klaus with demonic speed which startled most of Libra except for Klaus who is fully prepared.
Ink brought her flat side of the blade downwards as Klaus brought his brass steel knuckles upsides.
Then the two monsters clashed.
Steel against steel.
Pugilist versus swordswoman.
Ink's Wyvern versus Klaus's cross-style brass knuckles.
The two parried their attacks and soon the speed of their attacks towards one other has increased.
"Oi, oi, oi! The hell is this?!" Zapp questioned as Zed, Leo and Chain just stared in awe. Gilbert hums pleasantly while watching. Steven whistled as he is impressed at how this girl, Van Ink The Dragon is managed to keep up with Klaus's barrage of attacks. To Steven, it looks like a warm up than a straight-up duel.
Rust is surprised. Of course, he always knew that Ink is fast since she's the leader and the strongest member of the fraction. But holy shit, Klaus is no joke. Is this guy even human?! Rust asked himself in thought.
The two combatants are not backing down as they still in place, as bursts of forces creates small shockwaves because of the constant contact between their weapons.
Now the crowd is waiting to see who will break this deadlock.
"Brain Grid Blood Battle Style..."
ブレングリード流血闘術
Here it comes! Leo widened as he heard Klaus speaks.
"Pattern 39"
39式
"Keil Barrikade!"
キール・バリケード
Red small crosses appeared as it blocks incoming strikes from Ink's blade. Her grey eyes widen in surprise at this.
"Way to go, Chief!" Zapp cheered.
"Wonder how she's going to get out of that one." Steven mused as that technique is used as defensive while making it pins the opponent in place. Like Steven thought, the small crosses made Ink pinned down as her speedy strikes starts to decrease.
Heh. Ink smiled then she jumps back into the air, takes one hand off her sword which made Libra members blinked.
"Wyvern..."
ワイバーン
"Tail Spike Blitz!"
テールスパイクブリッツ
A quick barrage of her blade being thrust forward made dozen of afterimages of blades or rather spikes. Puncturing through the small crosses or pushing them away, breaking through Klaus's line of defense. Ink is now pushing forward against the crosses, dissipating them.
"Nice one, Ink!" Rust cheered.
What incredible force and speed! Zed awed.
"Pattern 74"
74式
"Kreuzschild Unzerbrechlich!"
絶対不破血十字盾
Klaus summons his counterattack; a crimson huge cross-like shield. The shield rendered the quick barrage of Wyvern Tail Spike Blitz useless. Ink narrows her eyes and quickly changes, "Raptor Slash!" She delivers a slash across the shield but nothing. Not even a scratch!
So now what?
"No way, she will break through the Chief's shield." Zapp crossed his arms but yet he is gripping on his arms. Why is there a feeling that this isn't over yet?
So is he going easy on her. Knowing Klaus, he doesn't want to hurt her so the smart thing to do is go on the defensive. Leo thought. But still-
This missy looks like she isn't giving up. Steven mused, wondering what is going in her mind with that excitable smile of hers.
Ink kept on attacking Klaus's unbreakable cross shield with her Raptor Slashes but none of them pierce through it. So, Ink had an idea, 'If I can't break, I guess I have to slam against it!' Ink pulling her sword away as she shifted into a stance like a battler with two hands on the grip where her blade emits a blue glow. The glow turns into a radiant blue as the blade begins to extend longer. It shocks the crowd, save for Rust, he knew this upcoming attack!
What now?!
"Wyvern..." She breathed.
ワイバーン
"Tail Slam!"
テールスラム
It was like winged mythical beast that slams its dangerous tail against Klaus's unbreakable shield. Just like in the name of her attack, instead of breaking the shield, Ink planned to turn Klaus's ultimate defensive against him, by slamming his own shield against him.
"!" Klaus widen his emerald eyes before he feel the impact from the force of the slam, forcing him hit the walls. Upon contact, the wall begins to creak before an the big explosion. Resulting in a huge smoke of dust from the shockwave, creating a hole at his place.
"KLAUS!"
Well shit... Steven cursed.
Oh crap... Rust stared in awe, switching to Ink and Klaus supposed in the smoke. Ink stands in front of the smoke cloud with her sword over her shoulder. Then the smoke cloud was immediately cleared by the swing of an arm, a force that creates a strong breeze that make Ink's hood and hair flow.
"Hehe!" Ink grinned to see Klaus still up. No injuries, just a few scratches.
"Not bad!" Ink complimented. "That was so cool!"
"Indeed." Klaus pushed his glasses up with a hum, "I'm impressed by your attack. Using the flat side of your blade to get me off balance, not to mention use my shield as offense against me."
"You know me! I'm just go with the flow!" Ink laughed.
How in the hell is he still standing?! Rust is wondering if Klaus is human! It amde the boy at awe if not, respect him even more!
In Libra, everyone is wondering. So she used that move just to do that?! Who the hell is this brat?! Zapp wondered.
Amazing. What a quick thinker! Zed nods as he is impressed.
Whoa...so that means there's strong people like Klaus. Is Ink one of them? Leo thought as he is amazed by Ink's prowess.
"Okay! Want to continue! Because I'm just getting started!" Ink grinned as she readied herself with her greatsword in front.
"Of course!" Klaus readied himself with his arms up.
Then suddenly, a ringtone of catchy beat of Seven Nation Army's song that stops everyone in their tracks and all eyes turn to the source. The song and the vibration is coming from Rust's pocket. Embarrassed, Rust looks at the caller ID and speaks, "Uh...Ink, it's Navarro." He raised his hand to show Ink whose calling.
"Oh..." Ink's face fell flat as if she was in trouble. Oh? Leo stared. What does she mean by oh?!
"Uh...wait...sorry mister Klaus, I gotta take this.." Ink lowered her sword.
"It's quite alright." Klaus nodded. "It must be an important call." Witht that, Rust throws the smartphone to Ink and she answers, "Hullo?"
"INK?! WHAT THE FUCK IS TAKING YOU TWO SO LONG?!" It was the angry teen, Navarro and the rest of the team is now worried sick that the duo isn't back yet.
"ALSO, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO?!"
And yep, it's a important call.
"Uh! Well...you see. I don't know to be honest!"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?!"
"As in where we are, because we have to establish trust that we both don't know where they are. It's only fair! But anyway, after talking to Libra, they are so cool and is willing to help Rust a bunch with his new powers and Rust joined!"
There is silence on the other line until, "Alright..." Navarro sighed after a moment of acceptance, "Is that it?"
"Nope! Right now, I'm fighting the Libra's boss, Klaus! He's super strong! You should of see it! I was-
"YOU WHAT?!" Instead of Navarro, there was more voiOn a drive to back home. Thanks to the directions given by Ink. The two teens relaxed in their seats while Gilbert is driving them. They will be drop off three blocks away from their hideout. For now, the teens could only sit in the car in peace.
"So tired..." Ink yawned before laying her head on Rust's shoulder which made him blink if not once but twice. "Sorry." She yawned as she tilts her head and shifts her body towards the window. "Just wake up when we're there." With that, she takes a nap.
"Right." Rust sighed with a smile. While Ink takes a nap, Rust looks over to Klaus from the other side.
"So..." Rust speaks but pauses. He goes to speak but pauses again. The teen doesn't know how to kill time with a conversation. Honestly your best friend and leader just challenge your 'new' boss for a fight after joining their secret organization. So yeah, it was awkward after that happened. " Yeah...uhhh.."
"No need to explain yourself, Rust. I understand why your friend, Ink would do this. She wanted to see if I can be trusted after everything you went through the last couple of weeks." Klaus stated as he looks over to a sleeping Ink, "At first, she seems amazed by us yet she doesn't trust us. So, I can conclude that the spar was a test to see. I suspected that she didn't say it outright because it might cause some friction."
Rust blinked, "What?" So that's why? If anything, it made sense. He looks over to the sleeping Ink who is snoozing peacefully. Probably about some cola or something related to dragons. Ink wasn't the one who talks a lot or gives time to explain, her actions do.
"You and Ink seem to be very good friends. Despite the chaotic nature of your group, I am glad to know that you all are good friends."
Heh. "Yeah. I couldn't be anywhere without them." Rust smiles at the thought of his friends. "They got my back no matter what." Now thinking about it, Rust is worried about something so he has to ask. "So... you're not worried about...that we got bounties on our heads?" Rust asked after some hesitation.
"We do have concerns regarding your fraction's background. But I and Steven are willing to talk to Daniel Law regarding it. We might convince him to drop the bounties on you and your friends' heads. Knowing Law, he might consider it." Klaus stated.
"Really?" Rust asked he is surprised by this. "Wait...you know Daniel Law?" He asked.
Klaus nods, "Indeed. We help out with his toughest cases time to time or whenever there's a Blood Breed involved."
"Huh." Rust nods, accepting it. So, they worked with the police. "So...are Blood Breeds really that tough to beat?" He asked.
"They are." Klaus stated, "They are creatures of the night that prey on the weak, they usually leave a trail of death and destruction. You and your friends saw it first hand."
"Like those zombies, right?" Rust frowned.
"Yes, ghouls."
"And I bet that guy from last night wanted revenge after I kicked his Master's ass and...look." Rust sighed as he rubs his neck, "I kinda remember some parts but I feel really angry and... uh...I want to say I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to...I."
"Rust..." Klaus immediately held his hand up, "there's no need to apologize, you were frightened, that's what I saw along with that anger. I know you didn't mean it. your actions save the lives of Leonardo and Doctor Estevez."
"Yeah but...I... wrecked most of the hospital..." Rust looked away, feeling guilty about that. "I think?" Barely remember anything, he could remember parts of it. He had a feeling that he left a huge mess. It made Rust wished he has the power to control his abilities and maybe. Maybe that's another reason he joined. To own up his shit for something he should have control over. Not to mention, he feels like he hurt the people that tried to help him.
Then he felt a hand on his shoulder making the blond startled and look up to Klaus. For some reason, the green kind eyes of his made him feel at ease. "Doctor Estevez was really worried about you. when I go in apologize for what happened. She said that she cares less about the damage, she is worried about you especially when you left the hospital. But when I tell her that you're doing alright, she is very relieved and happy to know that you're enjoying time with your friends."
"Really?" Rust blinked. Doctor Estevez is really that worried about him. Man, she's a good doc!
"Indeed." Klaus smiled. "If you like, we can meet her someday tomorrow or this week."
"Yeah...that would be nice!" Rust grinned.
Then the two felt that the car has stopped.
"Sir, we're here." Gilbert notified the two which got the blond to nudge Ink to wake up, "Ink, we're here." He said to which Ink groan groggily, "Already? That was fast! And pretty comfortable!" She smiled.
The teens got out, "It's nice to meet you, Ink, and I'm glad that you'll be joining us, Rust." Klaus presses a fist to his chest. Ink grinned, "Nice to meet you too, Mister Klaus! Let's fight again sometime."
"Of course!" Klaus nodded.
"Yeah, can't wait to start!" Rust grinned.
As the teens bid their farewell to Klaus and Gilbert, they made their way to their apartment building where the whole team is waiting for them. Especially...
"WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?!" Navarro shouted at them both with his hands on his hips as if he is worried sick.
"Don't worry, Navarro! I mean we're safe and sound!" Ink grinned.
"Yeah, we're all good." Rust grinned.
"All good?! Then why the hell that YOU!" He pointed at Ink, "fight the CEO of Libra and two!" He then points at Rust, "Why didn't you stop her?!" He yelled.
"Uhh..ya know how Ink is! I mean she did it for me!" Rust smiled to which Ink giggled.
"YEAH OKAY!"He said sarcastically, "But if anything, since you two idiots, isn't seriously injured. So what happened?! Navarro sighed and now looks directly at Rust, "Is it really true, you joined?!"
Rust gives the boy a firm nod, "Yeah I joined! I can't stay like this especially where the level I'm at. But don't worry about that, I'm not leaving the team. They're going to help me out with blood powers."
The team looked hesitant but seeing Rust's eyes full of determination and eagerness. They accepted the results. Still, there were a lot of questions.
"That's good," Oblivion stated. "So, when you do start?"
"Tomorrow," Rust answered.
"Just like that?" Maggie asked.
"Yeah," Rust answered.
'No catch or anything?!" Fosh asked.
"I don't think so?" Rust asked.
"Huh?! So how did you know exactly that they won't trick you?" Fosh asked.
"They won't. That's why I have battled with Mister Klaus!" Ink interjected. Fosh blinked, "HUH?! How does that make sense?!"
"It just does! I really think Libra has some cool people!" Ink laughed. Fosh sighs, "If I say so, I guess we have to trust you on your word..."
"Did they said anything about us?" Hellmare asked.
"Oh! Right! Klaus is going to talk to Daniel Law about our bounties. He might take them off for us." Rust answered.
Eh?! Everyone blinked including Ink as she is surprised to hear.
EH?
"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled.
"What do you mean they're going to take them off and also, why are you acting so surprised?!" Fosh asked Ink. After all, Ink is with Rust. "Oh! Well...I took a nap in their limo." Ink answered.
"YOU GUYS WERE IN A LIMO?!" Fosh, Navarro, Maggie, Taz, Gerald, and Jaron yelled. "HOW?!
"Yeah! It's pretty fancy!" Ink grinned.
"Are they rich or something?!" Navarro asked.
"Honestly... " Shdwkyz sighed, "that's what you guys are focusing on?" He asked them before glancing over to Rust, "Though it isn't surprising that they worked with Law since this is a secret organization we're talking about. But I don't think it's possible given the crimes we did. Not to mention, we did target some of HPLD officers even though some of them are corrupt. I highly doubt Lieutenant Law would agree to it. We all know how he is."
"I agreed." Hellmare said, "It's highly unlikely that all of us might have our bounties taken down. Even we gave the police some help dealing with gangsters and white-collar criminals. But I doubt they appreciate a lot of work put on their plates after our parties."
"Yeah! Shdwkyz and Hellmare are right!" Ink stated with her arms crossed, "Besides...I don't want my bounty taken down! I got to uphold my reputation as the dragon around here. I gotta be famous, you know! You need to tell Klaus that!"
"That's what you worried about, you idiot?!" Navarro and Maggie yelled angrily. Shdwkzy can't help but rolls his eyes and shakes his head with a smile. Fosh just facepalmed. Jaron cracks up.
"It would be great to get our bounties taken off but at the same time, we might go back to what we're doing most of the time. So, what's the point?" Oblivion pointed out.
"Couldn't say it better than myself." Shdkwyz agreed.
"Huh...never thought about it. I might need to talk to Klaus bout it." Rust said, nodding in agreement. Though, Rust is going to forget about it sooner or later since he's excited to go to Libra tomorrow.
"Still! You're joining Libra?! That's pretty amazing!" Fosh exclaimed. 'How are they like?! How is their tech?!"
"It's like a big office! It's pretty...how can I put it? No cubicles. Pretty big and feels comfy. Just the feeling of it. It's like the office but there's a lot of plants around, there's some in mini greenhouse or meeting room behind the glass room. As for the tech, I didn't see any servers or something. They're probably somewhere. "
"Plants?" Ophelia's eyes lit up at the mention of plants, "What kind of plants?" She smiles as she is very curious.
"Haven't check but I will let you know. They might give me a tour or somethin!" Rust smiled.
"I see. What else do they have?" Hellmare asked.
"Yeah...I get the feeling that they aren't that strict." Jaron asked.
"Oh! Man! They got a long bookshelf like... four shelves but like I can't describe the height but the width! It's like...really long. You should of see it, Hellmare. They got a lot of books. It's like a mini-library!" Rust grinned.
"Interesting! I assumed they liked reading books!" Hellmare smiled.
"Yeah! Plus, it's a lounge slash office! Pretty fancy but not too over the top if ya get what I mean!" Rust explained.
"Plus! They got huge windows and I think they got a balcony! You can see most of the city. Their floors are titled black and white checkers!" Ink adds in, describing Libra's headquarters to the team. "And the ceiling is so tall! It's like you're on top of a building."
"Shouldn't a secret organization be underground?" Maggie asked.
"Most secret organization can hide in plain sight." Fosh corrected her. "It's pretty good if an infamous organization like Libra lives around somewhere in Manhattan."
"Then...how many tall buildings are there?" Oblivion said.
"Roughly 6,000 in Hellsalem's Lot when it's back as New York City. 274 of them are skyscrapers even if the city has changed if you think about it. It's pretty smart." Fosh answered. "It's pretty hard to pinpoint which building if you're the enemy!"
"Agreed. The way you put it makes a lot of sense. Not to mention, their place of operations serves as a castle if you think about it." Hellmare chuckles. "You can see what's going on in the city and you have access to most of the communications in the city. Plus, it's hard for everyone to fight their way up. Not bad."
"Okay, we get the idea of what the office looks like but how many people are inside?"
"It's not a lot. There's Klaus, Leo, Zed, and Zapp. I met three people I haven't seen before. One guy with some scars in a suit, another is a woman in a suit, and oh...there's one guy who dressed up a butler and has bandages around him, Klaus calls him Gilbert." Rust answered.
"Wait so..." Fosh counted his fingers, "So like seven people? That can't be right!" Fosh stated. "There have to be more members!"
"Maybe they're somewhere in the building. Probably in their own offices!" Ink said. Then her stomach begins to growl loudly. "Ehhh...all this talking is getting hungry! Wait! Since Rust is joining! We should do something for you, Rust!" Ink grinned.
"How about pizza? I already ordered seven pies! Two of your favorites, Rust! Supreme with extra pepperoni!" Jaron smiled.
"Awesome! That's a great idea!" Ink grinned.
And so, the team enjoyed the rest of their night with their pizza party, celebrating Rust's entry into Libra. Wishing him good lucks and giving him good pieces of advice and warnings. Rust smiles throughout the night.
"Let's wish that Rust is going to get more awesome at Libra!" Ink smiled happily.
"Represent us, Rust! Let those damn Libra members know that we're no punks, got it!" Navarro ordered.
"And show them what you're capable of," Shdwkyz smirked.
"Yeah! I will be rooting for you!" Gerald exclaimed.
"You're going to do a good job, Rust. I know it!" Hellmare stated.
"Yes! Also please take my potions if you run into any trouble!" Ophelia stated.
"If you want, I can make you some lunches!" Jaron laughed.
"Heck! Ask me anything if you're having trouble!" Fosh stated.
"Or just call us if anything goes wrong," Oblivion said stoically.
"Yeah, if they tried to mess with you or anything, we mess with them. You can count on that!" Maggie said.
"Yeah!" Taz yelled.
"Heh, thanks, guys! I think I'm going to be alright!" Rust grinned with confidence.
With that, the night has ended with everyone finished eating, went back to their rooms, showered, and went to sleep.
The next morning...
Today is a new day as the sun rises.
Today was to go to Libra for his first day.
If only Rust will wake up as he is sleeping soundly on his bed after partying too hard last night with the pizza and the gaming. He made sure he put an alarm on his phone but it didn't help as he slept through it. Then suddenly, his phone begins to vibrate.
Hearing the sound, he groggily picks up the phone from the nightstand. He answers it and held it to his ear.
"Hello?" He yawned.
"WAKE UP YOU BRAT!"
The familiar shout of the man named Zapp got Rust to widen his eyes as he rolls off from the bed and hits the floor. "Ow! Uh! Whose is this?!" He asked.
"Whose is it?! It's me, you little shit, ZAPP! Do you know what fucking time is it?!"
"Huh? I don't know! What time is it?!" Rust asked.
"Oh! Glad you asked. It's...7:50 almost...bout to be eight. Didn't ya know you're supposed to come at 8 am." Zapp answered. Rust turns pale at the answer which he yells, "OH SHIT! SORRY! LET ME GET DRESSED! I WILL BE THERE!" He drops his phone and goes into his bathroom, failing to notice that Zapp is laughing his ass off on the other line before he hanged up.
Right away, he showered and put on his best clean clothes. An orange shirt with a yellow stripe, his denim jeans, his white sneakers, and finally his trademark grey hoodie with the rustic gears around his drawstrings. He looks at himself in the mirror and smiles, "Alright, time to do this!" He fisted and runs out to the room.
"Guys! I'm late! Gotta go." He yelled to see everyone. Some of the members like Hellmare and Fosh are up since they're early birds while Jaron is making breakfast. "You sure, you don't want breakfast?!" Jaron asked.
"Nah, it's all good. I get some on my way there! No problem! Later!" Rust stated before running out to the door. He didn't stop running, thanks to his demonic speed, and fewer people on the street. Recalling where he was... he skids to the halt as he remembers where he is at. Okay...he remembers getting out of there so... ha-ha! There it is. He goes to the building and enters the room which leads to an elevator. Entering the elevator, he doesn't know which...so...he presses all of them! As he goes up to each room, none fits the double doors he remembers yesterday until he got to second to the highest floor. He was tapping on his foot impatiently until he got there.
There it is!
Rust got out of there. But before entering, he takes big deep breathes, "Okay, Rust. You can do this. You're ready for this. Time to show them what you got!" He whispered before pressing two doors with his two hands and pushes,
"Hey, guys! Sorry for the lateness!" Rust grinned as his grey eyes shone with determination.
Time to go to work!
Oh my gosh! I'm so happy that I finish a fanfic! Also thank you to everyone who sticked me! So here's your second volume of Rust's story with Libra and his fraction, DBT.
