Liam stood at the edge of the penthouse terrace and looked down at the city below.
Night had completely taken over.
Thousands of lights stretched endlessly across the skyline, turning the streets into glowing rivers of gold and white. Cars moved far below like tiny insects while distant sirens echoed between skyscrapers.
The day had gone by surprisingly fast.
Between Ann, Lana, Lilith, Vanessa, Kelly, Seo Yeon, Dickson and the rest of the group, he barely had a moment to himself.
No life-threatening situations.
Just laughter.
Normal conversations.
Food.
Family.
It was strange how exhausting peace could be.
Then his phone buzzed.
Liam glanced down.
A message notification.
His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Hmmm."
He opened the message quickly before slipping the phone back into his pocket.
Without another word he stepped onto the terrace railing.
The wind immediately hit his face.
For a brief second he simply stood there overlooking the massive drop.
