Azazel's excited scream echoed through the room.
For a moment, everyone stared at him. Some of them couldn't help but smile at his excitement, but the sudden outburst soon had several brows furrowing in annoyance.
"Cut that out, Azazel," Denovan warned, his voice carrying a hint of amusement despite the reprimand.
Azazel only grinned, completely unbothered.
But Roman paid no attention to the exchange.
His eyes remained fixed on Julie.
After everything that had happened, after the fear and uncertainty that had stretched across the past week, seeing her lying there had made the rest of the world disappear.
He was about to speak when something caught his attention.
Julie's eyelashes fluttered.
Her fingers moved slightly against the sheets, almost as though she were trying to find something in the darkness of her unconsciousness.
Roman immediately leaned closer.
