Silvanus's legs were dragged along at a blinding speed. Matthew's figure ahead flickered in and out of focus, and behind them, the Outer God had clearly thrown caution to the wind—despite this being Matthew's world.
The surrounding space began to fracture with countless cracks. Silvanus turned his head to look back. Behind them, the cracks spread like a vast spiderweb, and within them, portions of the Outer God's enormous, grotesque body became faintly visible.
Before Silvanus could say anything, a powerful force suddenly shoved he upward, pushing him into a patch of sky that had yet to be consumed—the only light within this pitch-black expanse.
Silvanus's eyes widened as he stared at Matthew in shock. Matthew's gaze met his, looking at he deeply, as though trying to etch the final image of the person he cherished most into his mind. So that even in death, he would never forget.
