Chapter 547 - Chapter 547: The Three Worlds

"Ugh-"

Thor and Loki squatted on the ground, retching violently, like they were about to throw up everything they'd consumed last night.

Noah stood a short distance away, his expression full of disgust, clearly worried that the two idiots might accidentally spray something on him.

After retching for a long time, the brothers finally raised their heads.

Their faces were twisted with resentment and anger as they glared at Noah.

Just last night, they had attended a celebration.

A party thrown by the Avengers.

To celebrate the successful defeat of Thanos.

They had partied all the way until dawn.

Their physiques meant they wouldn't get drunk, but that didn't mean their stomachs full of liquid felt good.

What they hadn't expected was this-

They woke up, intending to go to the bathroom and finally relieve themselves.

And then golden specks of light appeared on their bodies.

Before they could struggle.

Before they could resist.

They were dragged straight into a spatial portal.

That familiar feeling.

That nauseating, motion-sickness-like sensation.

And with both of them already full of liquid, they vomited the entire way through the portal.

They hadn't even finished when they landed.

Odin and the Ancient One stood in front of them, both wearing speechless expressions.

They clearly hadn't expected things to turn out like this either.

Shaking his head, Odin sighed lightly and said to the Ancient One and Noah,

"It seems my two children won't be able to communicate properly for a while. They appear to have... played a little too hard."

"Perhaps." Noah smiled faintly.

"After all, we defeated Thanos in another universe. They were probably too excited."

They really were.

They had eliminated a threat to the universe with their own hands.

They hadn't relied on teachers.

They hadn't relied on elders.

That alone was worth celebrating.

To beings like Odin or the Ancient One, Thanos might not have been a serious threat.

But because of various restrictions, they couldn't intervene directly.

It had been that way in the original story.

It was the same now.

Compared to the other parallel universe, they were already lucky.

Their teachers and elders hadn't disappeared because of it.

Their presence was only an added safeguard.

Nothing else had fundamentally changed.

"It is indeed a joyous occasion," Odin nodded.

"I'll take them away first. They're clearly not in a suitable state."

Then he glanced at Noah.

"By the way, Noah. I may need your help again soon."

"Oh?" Noah asked.

"Glad to be of service, Your Majesty."

"Sometime soon, I plan to release my other child," Odin said calmly.

"She is Thor and Loki's elder sister. Her ideology is... somewhat extreme."

"...?"

Noah's mouth twitched.

What?

Was Odin planning to release Hela?

Was he worried his family didn't have enough internal problems?

Honestly, one Thor and one Loki were already more than enough.

Now he wanted to add Hela?

Form the Three Musketeers?

And even if he wanted to do that-

Don't drag me into it.

Noah had zero desire to be involved with that madwoman.

He clearly remembered how terrifying her strength was.

If he hadn't interfered back then, she would've been the one to crush Mjolnir.

"...Alright, All-Father Odin." Noah sighed inwardly, but kept his composure.

"May I ask how extreme her ideology is?"

"Don't worry," Odin smiled.

"With me here, she won't cause trouble."

He seemed to guess Noah's thoughts.

"Hela's extremism is largely my fault. She fought alongside me for too long and came to believe that everything can be solved with force."

"So you know it's your fault," Noah cursed silently.

Outwardly, his expression remained calm.

Taking a breath, Noah asked,

"Then... is there anything you want me to do?"

"It's simple," Odin said.

"This is a matter between siblings, but you're also a good friend of Thor and Loki, aren't you?"

He smiled gently.

"If necessary, help them. And help my daughter recognize some truths."

Recognize truths?

Recognize who truly ruled Asgard?

Recognize that there was always someone stronger?

Noah rubbed his chin.

He was fairly sure that was exactly what Odin meant.

But this task didn't sound easy.

Once Hela returned to Asgard, her power would grow endlessly.

Even with Odin suppressing her, she would still be a huge problem.

That growth might cap around the tenth tier-

But without Dragonborn magic, Noah wouldn't be able to deal with her at all.

"Is she like that universe's Thanos?" Noah wondered.

"High offense, weak defense?"

He wasn't sure.

His universe had already been thoroughly warped by his presence.

And magic here was clearly stronger than in the universe he'd visited before.

Caution was better.

With a quiet sigh, Noah knew he couldn't refuse.

If Odin suddenly decided to watch Hela beat Thor and Loki into the ground-

And then let her become Asgard's executioner-

Noah would be the one paying the price.

"I understand, Your Majesty," Noah nodded.

"If necessary, I'll use Dragonborn."

"Very good." Odin smiled in satisfaction.

"Then I'll leave it to you."

"...Of course."

Then, as if remembering something, Noah spoke again.

"Your Majesty, may I ask you something?"

"Oh?" Odin replied.

"Go ahead."

"What are your thoughts on the World of the Dead?"

Noah had finally asked it.

Not because he'd forgotten.

But because he hadn't dared to ask before.

The World of the Dead was filled with taboos.

In the past, Noah had speculated that Odin would go there to find his wife.

But in this universe, that kind of thing clearly wasn't happening.

Which meant Noah had no reference at all.

Now, after experiencing another universe, Noah felt the timing was right.

He believed the Ancient One and Odin wouldn't make things difficult for him.

As expected-

The Ancient One's expression shifted.

Odin's also turned strange.

The two exchanged a glance, as if silently confirming something.

Finally, the Ancient One nodded, hesitating slightly.

"I see," Odin said slowly.

Then his expression grew serious.

"The World of the Dead is filled with endless darkness and fear. It exists independently of all dimensions."

"Independent of all dimensions?" Noah frowned.

That didn't sit right with him.

He clearly remembered that in many stories, souls were easy to summon.

Necromancy was powerful.

Even in movies, there were similar things.

The Darkhold.

Egyptian magic.

Pharaohs weren't just legends in the ordinary world.

In the magical world, they were powerful mages.

Priests.

Servants of gods.

Yet they wielded terrifying magic.

But-

This universe didn't seem to have produced an Imhotep.

Or maybe history had buried him.

After all, his reputation was awful.

Seducing a pharaoh's wife.

Triggering regicide.

Attempting resurrection.

Cursed and executed.

If something like that really happened, wouldn't there be records?

Especially after World War II.

Egypt went through massive changes.

The Ministry of Magic couldn't have ignored it.

Noah had even asked Egypt's Minister of Magic directly.

The answer was blunt.

They'd never heard of it.

And such a thing couldn't be hidden.

If someone like that existed, protective measures would've been taken.

"Indeed," Odin continued calmly, unaware of Noah's thoughts.

"An existence independent of all dimensions."

He smiled.

"Heaven and Hell also collect souls, but their actions are based on belief. Only the faithful or the utterly wicked can enter. Do you know why?"

"Energy," Noah answered almost immediately.

"Correct," Odin nodded.

"Souls are energy. They define destinations through belief and conduct. High-quality souls become subordinates. Ordinary souls..."

"And the World of the Dead doesn't care?" Noah frowned.

"Exactly," Odin said.

"It's too vast. Vast beyond time and space. And it connects to all universes."

"...All universes?" Noah froze.

"Yes," Odin said lightly.

"And finally, a cold fact for you."

"Please."

"The world we live in is called the Creation World. You may also call it the Material World."

He paused.

"Surrounding it are two other worlds."

"One is the World of the Dead."

"And the other..."

"The Void."
