Dear Bumble bee
You probably don't know me
But you own a part of my being no one else does...
My curiosity
Which hasn't been awakened until I set my eyes on you
And I'm not sure why
Maybe it's how you stride so effortlessly like you don't have a care in the world
Or maybe it's how seamlessly the world disappears when I look at you
Or the way my body is so attunned to your presence like a moth to a flame
Fascinated by what I can't have
By what could break me
Just fascinated by you
Or the version of you I don't know
The version I seek to discover
And yet I'm not sure why
Why it had to be you
Why it had to be now
When you could crush my soul
And tell me you'll never love me
I know I said I was curious
But curious if you'd love me
Or maybe even like me
It earnestly has me wondering if I'm insane
Because no sane person would be in love with someone they barely talk to
Someone who rarely spares them a glance
Someone who doesn't have their number
Who probably doesn't even know my name
Who doesn't even know me
So maybe I am insane
I'm insane for noticing you
When you don't notice me
