WILOW-Ch.413: Loss of Last Hope
Sea, 200 Kilometers off the Coast of Dorne
POV of Kevan Lannister
Kevan looked at the map of Lannisport and frowned.
If the Lannisters had lost Casterly Rock along with all their family members and the gold, then they were in a bad situation indeed.
And as if that was not enough, he knew for a fact that the Lord of Lannisport was an ambitious man. Very ambitious in fact.
So, if something happened to his brother and Jamie, then he did not doubt that the man would bar him from landing on the Westerland soil and would try to take over Casterly Rock himself.
His fists clenched in anger at the mere thought of such a betrayal, but he knew that such a thing was very likely to happen.
The main branch of House Lannister had always looked down on the cadet branches of the house, and he knew that it was now all coming back to bite them in their asses.
He wondered if…
-Thump, Thump, Thump
He was brought out of his thoughts when someone frantically knocked on his door.
He frowned and walked up to the door before opening it to find a terrified young man looking at him in despair.
"My lord… the… they…"
He put a hand on the young man's shoulder and gave him a stern look. "Calm down, Symon. Take a deep breath." He said, "What is…"
-BOOOMMMMM
He frowned at the sound of the explosion and quickly left the boy behind to see what was going on out there.
He went to the deck, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw a dragon flying above his ship.
He gulped in fear and then looked in the distance, where some of the Lannister War Galleys were burning with green colored fire.
Wildfire. Which meant…
He ducked down as another dragon flew above his head. No… not a dragon.
These must be the wyverns that the messenger told him about.
He also had read about them in the newspapers the messenger had brought, but this was the first time he saw them with his own eyes.
What the hell were these wyverns doing so far in the south?
His mouth opened in surprise when the wyverns didn't drop another wildfire bomb on top of them, but hundreds of papers instead, before flying away in the distance.
A lot of the paper flew away in the wind and landed on the water, but a few of them landed on the ships.
He picked one of them and read through the contents, his heart dropping with each sentence he read.
By the end of it, his face had gone pale, and he had to take the support of the mast to keep standing.
The paper slipped from his hands and fell to the ground, like all his hopes and dreams of helping his house.

Sea, 200 Kilometers off the Coast of Dorne
POV of Domeric Bolton
Domeric stood on the deck of 'Devourer', which was the second-largest ship in his fleet. Second only to the Titanic.
This was Muron's flagship, and his admiral was very proud of it.
Their wyverns flew in the sky, and he used a far-eye to see Kevan Lannister and his men surrendering to the Unsullied in the distance while his own men climbed aboard the 30 Swan Ships and 10 Lannister war galleys and took command of those ships.
"That was too easy." Muron grumbled beside him, "I had expected those fuckers to put up a fight at least."
"People are a bit reluctant to fight when they have two giant wyverns flying above their heads." He said, "Especially if those same wyverns could drop wildfire caches on top of you and burn your entire fleet to cinders."
Muron looked at him from the corner of his eye. "Did I ever tell you what a scary fucker you are?"
He chuckled, and Muron continued, "Makes me wonder why you don't sit on the Iron Throne yourself. I understand your new imperial order, but I don't understand why you didn't sit on the Iron Throne as Emperor. Then you would have had more lands to rule directly."
"You're not my first subordinate to ask that question." He said, "I already have everything I need for a good life in Bolton Lands. Sitting on the Iron Throne would leave me preoccupied with the troubles of the Five Kingdoms. And that's not even mentioning that the Citadel and the Faith of Seven would oppose my beliefs and views. In short, sitting on the Iron Throne is not beneficial for me."
Muron looked at him for a long moment before shaking his head. "I don't think there's anyone in the Seven Kingdoms who would consider the Iron Throne of no value."
The two wyverns flew above them once again, and Muron looked at him. "What now?"
"Now… I will go and hand over Tywin and the Mountain to the Martells, make a few agreements with them, then return to King's Landing and help the Tyrells in taking over the city."
"If only I could have as many battles as you, I would die a happy man," Muron said, and he rolled his eyes.
"As if you don't destroy a few pirate and slaver ships each month." He said.
Muron just grinned at him, and he watched as the last of the Lannister men were taken prisoners and all the Swan Ships were boarded.
"My work here is done." He said, took out a magical whistle from his pocket, and blew it.
The Wyverns jerked in mid-air, and the smaller one of them turned and flapped its wing a few times before landing on the deck of the ship.
"I'll leave you to your job then, Admiral." He said, as he climbed on top of the wyvern and sat behind the skinchanger, who was tightly secured to the wyvern with various harnesses, and bid the man goodbye before the wyvern flew and they left for Sunspear.
