Chapter 316 - Chapter 313: Synthetic Byakugan

Chakra orbs formed in every blind fighter's hands once more. The puppets moved into position, surrounding Ryu from all angles.

The barrage launched.

Twelve chakra spheres hurtled toward Ryu from every direction, converging on his position in a coordinated strike meant to leave no escape route.

Ryu closed his eyes.

"Earlier, I could only see in one direction… But now…"

- [Mind Palace – Reverse Projection] activated

Through the synthetic Byakugan, the android projected what it saw directly into Ryu's mind. The android's vision flooded into his consciousness—not as a separate feed, but as an extension of his own senses.

The world around him shifted.

Everything slowed to a crawl. The incoming chakra spheres hung in the air like frozen stars, their trajectories mapped in perfect three-dimensional clarity.

Ryu saw everything—not just what was in front of him, but behind, above, below, to the sides. A near three hundred sixty degrees of perfect vision through the android's Byakugan.

The first sphere came from his left. Ryu's body shifted, tilting his head to the side. The orb passed within a hair's breadth of his cheek.

The second came from behind. He twisted his torso, spine arching. The sphere grazed his shoulder, missing by millimetres.

[BattleBot] moved in perfect synchronisation. Its hand snapped out, palm meeting the third sphere at an angle. Not blocking—deflecting. The android's hand redirected the trajectory just enough to send the orb sailing past Ryu's right side.

Above, the fourth sphere descended. Ryu sidestepped, and [BattleBot] raised its arm, fingers barely touching the orb's surface. The sphere's path shifted, veering off-course.

Five. Six. Seven.

Ryu moved through the barrage like water flowing between rocks. His movements were minimal—small shifts of weight, subtle turns of his head, precise footwork. The Synthetic Byakugan showed him every attack simultaneously and his [Parallel Thinking], [Fast Thinking] [Hyperphantasia] worked together for give him cheat code level dodging ability tracing every attack's trajectory in real time. And his trained body responded with perfect economy of motion.

[BattleBot] acted as the deflector. Each sphere that came too close was met with a calculated touch—palm strikes that changed angles, finger taps that altered trajectories, redirecting the attacks away from Ryu without wasting movement.

Eight. Nine. Ten.

The eleventh sphere came in low, aimed at Ryu's legs. He lifted his foot, the orb passing beneath. [BattleBot] pivoted, hand sweeping down to tap the twelfth sphere aside.

The final orb missed Ryu's face by less than a centimetre.

Then it was over.

All twelve chakra spheres had passed, striking nothing but empty air before dissipating against the white ground behind him.

Ryu's eyes remained closed.

"Three hundred sixty degrees. No blind spots. That's the real advantage of the Byakugan—not just range and seeing through chakra, but complete spatial awareness."

The leader's previously unreadable expression cracked completely. His Byakugan widened in disbelief.

"Impossible..." the right-hand man whispered, taking an involuntary step back.

The enemy leader's gaze tracked not just Ryu, but the android as well, reading every shift of chakra in the space between them.

The first blind fighter moved. He glided in, palm cutting toward Ryu's ribs.

[BattleBot] stepped in on Ryu's right, catching the man's wrist mid-strike and twisting. Ryu used the opening without hesitation, driving a punch into the man's gut. The fighter folded over Ryu's fist and went flying backward, crashing into two of his comrades.

Ryu's eyes remained closed, his vision still filtered entirely through the android's synthetic Byakugan.

Another blind fighter came in from Ryu's left, palm already glowing with compressed chakra. [BattleBot] slipped behind him in a blur, its arm hooking around his neck. Ryu pivoted forward, heel smashing into the man's knee. The joint buckled, and [BattleBot] flung him aside.

Ryu and the android moved together. When Ryu stepped forward, [BattleBot] mirrored the motion, turning the two of them into a shifting, overlapping pattern—angles of attack crossing and intersecting, covering each other's blind spots. A punch from Ryu forced an enemy off balance; a kick from [BattleBot] finished him. A sweep from [BattleBot] knocked legs out; Ryu met the falling body with a rising knee.

The enemy formation around them began to fracture.

The blind fighters tried to adapt, but the synchronized team of Ryu and [BattleBot] pushed them back. The puppets that had been standing at the edges of the battlefield finally surged in to assist after the paralysis seal weakened. Their limbs jerking as they recalibrated.

One puppet dropped in behind Ryu, blade arcing for his neck.

[BattleBot]'s hand flashed out, gripping the puppet's forearm. The android twisted, ripped the limb free at the joint, and used it like a club—smashing it across the puppet's head. The wooden skull split, fragments spraying outward.

Another puppet rushed [BattleBot] from behind, both arms raised to strike. Ryu stepped in, hand snapping out to grab it by the face. He slammed it down, shattering its jaw and driving its head into the white floor.

More puppets fell in pieces around them.

Then the right-hand man raised his voice. "Formation Omega! Combined strike!"

The remaining ten blind fighters and twelve puppets moved in unison, falling back from Ryu and [BattleBot]. They formed a wide arc, spacing themselves evenly around the perimeter.

The blind fighters raised their hands. Chakra orbs formed above each palm—but they didn't launch them.

Ten separate orbs began to merge, streams of energy flowing between them, combining into a single massive construct. The orbs grew larger. And larger.

The sphere swelled to three meters in diameter, then four, then five. It hovered above the circle of fighters, pulsing with condensed power.

"That's similar to a Tailed Beast Bomb in principle," Ryu thought, analysing the technique through his shared vision. "Compressing massive amounts of chakra into a single point, then releasing it. But this one is different, without rotation."

Ryu formed a [Rasengan] through [BattleBot]. The familiar spiral of blue chakra whirled in his palm, but he didn't stop there. Ryu put his hand near it and wind chakra flooded into it.

The sphere expanded, sharpening. Four spinning blades extended from the core, each one screaming with cutting force.

-[Wind Style: Rasenshuriken]

The [BattleBot] hurled the [Rasenshuriken] towards the enemy's jutsu. They collided at the center of the battlefield.

For a fraction of a second, the two techniques ground against each other—the drilling, cutting force of the [Rasenshuriken] versus the overwhelming compressed mass of the combined sphere. Then the [Rasenshuriken] detonated.

The explosion was catastrophic.

A dome of wind and chakra expanded outward in all directions, shredding everything it touched. The combined sphere couldn't withstand the internal cutting damage and exploded as well. Both techniques tore each other apart at the core, and the shockwave—not the raw chakra itself—became the true weapon, hurling everyone away from the epicenter.

Puppets were obliterated instantly, wooden frames disintegrating into splinters that were immediately pulverized to dust. The blind fighters were thrown backward, bodies tumbling head over heels over the pale surface. Several slammed into each other mid-flight, crying out in pain.

Ryu crossed his arms in front of his face.

- [ReflexGuard] activated

Golden hexagons snapped into place, forming multiple layers. The shockwave slammed into them. The first layer shattered. The second cracked but held. The third absorbed the remaining force.

Ryu skidded backward, boots leaving long grooves in the dreamscape floor, but he remained standing. [BattleBot] was thrown back as well, metal frame tumbling before catching itself and stabilizing.

The blind fighters and council members weren't so fortunate. They were scattered like leaves in a storm, tumbling away from the epicenter. Two were heading toward the edge of the dreamscape—where the white ground gave way to an endless void.

The leader moved.

Glowing green chakra erupted from his palms, taking the form of long, flexible ropes. They shot out with precision, wrapping around the waists of his subordinates who were still airborne. More ropes extended, grabbing every single blind fighter before they could fall into the void or crash too hard.

With his other hand, the leader thrust forward.

A massive barrier of compressed chakra materialized in front of him—a translucent dome that expanded rapidly, encompassing all of his subordinates. The residual shockwave from the explosion slammed into the barrier. The shield rippled but held, absorbing the impact and protecting everyone behind it.

With a single, powerful motion, he yanked all the ropes back.

His people flew toward him, pulled from their chaotic trajectories. He pulled everyone near him and then released them from his ropes. Several collapsed immediately, gasping for breath. Others remained on their knees, too disoriented to stand.

The barrier dissolved.

Silence fell over the battlefield.

The crater where the two techniques had collided was enormous—a perfect circle of hollow ground, still smoking. No puppets remained. The blind fighters were all behind their leader, recovering.

Ryu's breathing was heavier now. His legs felt the sustained weight of [Overclocking]. The layered use of [Electromagnetic Vision], [Infrared Vision], and [Mind Palace – Reverse Projection] throughout the battle had drained his mental stamina considerably. His chakra reserves were still high in the dream, but his mind felt the strain—stretched thin like a wire pulled taut.

[BattleBot] stood beside him, damaged but functional. Scorch marks traced along its frame, several seals flickering weakly from the shockwave impact.

The leader stood at the crater's edge, green chakra ropes retracting back into his palms. His Byakugan fixed on Ryu.
