Leon yanked his blade free from the dead girl's corpse, flicking the blood away as he locked eyes with one of the animated statues.
"I could butcher every single one of them standing here and not even bat an eye," Leon said, his grin widening into something feral.
"The real question is... do you want to lose your precious little soldiers ?"
"I can afford to lose a few if it means getting you in return," the statue replied. A cruel smile stretched across its stone features as it raised a hand. Sparks danced across its palm before erupting into a roaring sphere of flame.
'They can use magic?!' Leon's grin vanished, replaced by a razor-sharp seriousness.
"Oh... did I forget to mention?" the statue mocked. "I can use their skills, too." With a violent snap of its wrist, the statue hurled the fireball straight at Leon.
